About Us:

My accounting background, CPA certification and my MBA in finance is somewhat unique in the loan origination world.  These credentials and my varied business experience combined with my knowledge of the mortgage industry enables me to provide the best service for my clients.  This is evident in the amount of repeat business and referrals I get each year from my past clients.  Each year 80% to 85% of my business is repeat or referral business from my client base.  The other 15% to 20% comes from referrals from my real estate agent, financial planner and attorney referral partners.

I handle loan files from the beginning to the end.  My clients and referral partners appreciate my patience and availability.  I do not play bait a switch games like many lenders do.  The loan fees on your closing settlement statement are the same as the fees that I quoted at the time of the loan application.   

Too often loan originators make the "sale" and just pass the client through an assembly line process.   Some lenders put clients into a loan product that they have no business being in.  This drives me crazy.  The practice is purely profit driven and is not in the best interest of the client.  The practice makes my job more difficult because I find myself having to unwind the spin and dishonesty that has been thrust upon the prospective client by slick talking salespeople in the industry.

Areas of Expertise

My expertise is well rounded.  I am equally comfortable working with 1st time home buyers as I am with high end home buying executives and everyone in between.  I am very knowledgeable about 1st time homebuyer loan programs and I am an expert in the special grant programs offered by the State of Illinois and the City of Chicago.  These programs are perfect for turning a potential home buyer into a home owner.  There are a few other lenders that can offer these programs, but I bring my knowledge and high end customer service to the table.

I do more than just originate a mortgage loan.  I make sure that the client is getting the right loan program to meet their needs.  The mortgage product should fit into their lifestyle and their future financial plans.  I have great referral partners including real estate agents, real estate attorneys, financial planners and title agents.  Together, we get the job done for the client. 

Our network of service providers has enabled 1st Advantage Mortgage and I to offer a suite of employee benefits to employers for their employees.  We bring financial resource benefits such as real estate services, mortgage financing, financial planning, college planning, real estate attorney services and title services to employees.  The beauty of the program is that there is no cost to the employer for the program.  Employees are free to use the services that they want.  Employees do not have to pay a fee to have access to the service providers.  The employee only pays if they choose to do business with a service provider.  For example, if an employee hires a real estate to sell a property, a real estate commission agreement would be negotiated.  If they choose to work with a college planner after the initial free consultation, a service fee would apply.  If you are an employer that wants to learn more about this program, give me a call.

I am a VSP (Value Service provider) on ConnectMLS which is connected to one of the largest MLS boards in the country covering Northern Illinois.  I encourage my real estate agent partners to use this tool.

My involvement with the client does not end when the loan closes.  My mortgage manager system tracks my client's loan program and routinely checks the program and interest rate with the current market.  Triggers are set to notify the client when there is a refinance opportunity or when their ARM loan interest rate is due to reset.  This service is free and just part of the added value that I bring to the table.

Our firm offers conventional, FHA, VA, Jumbo loans, Home Equity loans and Home Equity Line of Credit products.  We have experts that can handle commercial loans as well.
