This is what is needed for your mortgage application at AmeriFirst Financial in San Diego, CA. There may be more depending on your unique scenario, however this list pretty much covers it.

  • Tax Returns for 2009 and 2010, if you have not filed 2010 then replace with 2008
  • W-2's and/or 1099's for 2009 and 2010.
  • Copies of Partnership or Corporate tax returns for 2009 and 2010 including k-1's (if applicable)
  • Copies of paystubscovering the most recent 30-day period (if paid monthly, a total of two paystubs will be required)
  • If retirement/pension income, copy of awards letter
  • 2 Most recent bank statement, all pages all accounts for last 60 days.
  • Investment accounts, 401k, IRA, brokerage accounts, etc. (assets) account statements, all pages most recent
  • Copy of Drivers License and SSN
  • If other property is owned, copies of recent mortgage statements or coupons, property tax bills, and homeowners insurance declarations page, any HOA dues if applicable
  • Year, Make and Model of Vehicle with approx values
  • Contact for Verification of Employment
  • Contact Information for Landlord (if applicable)
  • Letter of Explanation regarding Inquires on your credit. If you have not added any new credit lines, then this will suffice: I have not opened any new credit lines, or added any other debt not listed on my credit report.
  • Letter of Explanation regarding ANY derogatory credit explaining any late payments, collections etc. For bankruptcies discharged in the last 7 years, explain what happened to cause the BK and mention that you have taken care of the cause as to ensure it will not happen again.
  • IF APPLICABLE - copy of Bankruptcy papers, with discharge - Copy of Divorce Decree - Copy of Child Support Order
