Description
FHA 203(k) loan expert and home renovation enthusiast, I keep my nationwide base of borrowers/realtors/contractors apprised of all things 203(k) NMLSR #260770

In the fall of 2009 I brought my 25 years of housing finance experience in both private and public funding back to the Kansas City market. With my recent employment change to Wells Fargo Home Mortgage I will begin to originate 203k loans nationwide. www.203kkc.com

Throughout my career, I have dealt with housing issues ranging from fair lending practices to homelessness to the education of first-time homebuyers. I have lent my experience and expertise to numerous local, regional and national forums on fair housing and civil rights.

In 1995, I co-founded First Americans Mortgage Corp. (FAMC), originally a majority-owned Native American company. As FAMC's president, I established contacts and working relationships with representatives of more than 100 tribes. With tribal contacts located throughout the United States, I have gained in-depth knowledge of the environmental issues, title standards and federal codes and regulations relating to land-into-trust applications.

Over the years FAMC was a consistent player in the HUD Section 184 Indian Loan Guarantee market and partnered with Washington Mutual Bank (2003-2006) to conduct all their back of the house operations for the bank's HUD 184 construction and renovation loans (a sister program to the FHA 203k). I initiated and assisted in the development of the first risk-share program designed between a Native American nation and a private mortgage insurer in the late 1990s, when it partnered with PMI Mortgage Insurance, Freddie Mac and the Chickasaw Nation.

Specialties
