About US
My husband and I owned our own Showroom Design Center for 25 yrs. We sold our business and traveled for 3 1/2 yrs and then decided it was time to move back home, to Evansville, IN. I am a West Sider graduated from Reitz in '71, before that Cynthia Heights, Tekoppel, & White School. My parents still live in the same home I grew up in, over 45 yrs, you don't see that much any more. Went to school in Dallas TX for Interier Design when my husband and I had our business there. THEN after moving back to Evansville took a specialty course in Home Staging, received certification as a Trained Certified Home Stager by the leading company in the industry Home Staging Resources. I love helping people put together something that is beautiful, whether it is the home they want to sell or economically redo the home they want to stay in.
I have been blessed with a gift that is in the area I have chosen for a profession. Our mission at Evansville Home Staging & ReDesign is to maximize your homes potential so it will sell faster and for more money. For our clients who want a ReDesign we want to capture and create a living space that is unique and personalized for you. It will be our goal to provide a full range of services and to deliver them with the best in professionalism and expertise . Our passion is to establish a successful partnership with our clients that respect their interests and goals.
I believe in giving back to the community. A portion of each job income, transaction, commission is donated to the my local church, local homeless shelter and food bank, which helps the homeless. I have helped construct a home with Habitat for Humanity, in addition to donating to them I also contribute to Riley Children's Hospital, the Juvenile Diabetes Association and Komene for the Cure. I believe when God has blessed us with a gift we should give back in every way possible.

There are three phases to the home staging or redesign process to completely maximize the value of the home. Evansville Home Staging & ReDesign can do all three…Do one…or all three. During our consultation with you we will plan out your options for you. By understanding the different phases, you’ll be able to better understand the “staging potential” or “redesign potential” of the home. We keep it simple and break up your processes, so that you don’t get bogged down.
PHASE ONE - Using What The Client Has To Transform the Space
This is basically our time and expertise which is the most valuable thing a home seller can incorporate in preparing their home to sell. Why? Because it involves zero budget outside of a Staging Day or two, but creates big rewards in the resell based on our ability to creatively and objectively decorate the home sell.
PHASE TWO – Recommended Purchases As Investments In Staging Process
Working with the client’s budget, we will only make those recommended purchases that will MORE than pay for themselves in the speed and amount of sale. We will work with the home seller or home owner (in redesign) and find those perfect, inexpensive accessories that will have a dramatic impact on each room of the home.
PHRASE THREE - Simple Yet Dramatic Cosmetic Updates and Changes!
Some rooms just need paint, while others need updated lighting etc. Depending on the client’s budget and timing, we will only suggest paint, electrical and other cosmetic improvements that will result in a higher return on investment.

Why do I need a Home Stager? Is probably the most frequently asked question. Most homeowners are very attached and proud of their home. Therefore have a hard time seeing it through buyer eyes. Buyers are picking out every flaw and knocking that off their offer- if they even put one in. A professional stager can help you let go emotionally and see the big picture of selling your home and netting a bigger profit.
Can I stage my home myself? Many realtors and homeowners try to stage their home themselves and most miss the mark. Home Staging professionals are experienced in creating the right mood for the home to sell. Home Staging professionals know where they can just fluff it up and when a more extensive approach is necessary. Expertise Sells!
How much will it cost? All depends on the size and condition your home is in. Also, whether it is vacant or you have furniture to work with. To stage a home properly you will need current and neutral accessories, furniture appropriately scaled to the rooms, and a clean odorless home. Clean and organized homes sell!
Why do I need staged pictures? If nothing else you need pictures of your home that are perfect. The internet/ multiple listing sites are a very useful tool for buyers to preview a home before they see it in person. It truly is your homes first impression. If you have a room with no clear purpose and your home is cluttered it’s a turn off and at the very least it brings in a lower priced offer. Staged pictures bring traffic to your home and higher priced offers to the table.
How long will it take? Most homes take about 4-8 hours to fully stage. Homes need to be cleaned and organized before staging can take place to get the full impact and your moneys worth of staging. You don’t want to pay for cleaning when you can do it for free. You can use my service for the de-clutter and organize, adding on additional time to accomplish this is going to vary by the size of the home and the amount of clutter.

In my market the most affordable service I provide is a "walk and talk" or verbal home staging consultation.
I also do a "Walk & Talk & Work", as we walk and talk thru the home if there are things that can be moved and done as we go I will do that with the home owner.
Sometimes it may be changing around accessories, moving smaller furniture or paintings,
it seems to help get the home owner started & help them to understand what I
mean when I am explaining the why of what we are doing:)
Since I am no longer in the Dallas, TX area, I have moved back to my home town of Evansville, IN.
I do not charge the rates I charged or are being charged in that area.
My min. Consultation is $50 for up to an hour, time over that is charged at the rate of $50/hr.
I can usually do a Walk & Talk consultation within an hour for up to a 1500-1600 sq ft home,
takes an hour and half usually for up to 2400 sq ft. It really depends on the home, size, and
what the needs are to determine how long it will take.
- A verbal home staging consultation is a room by room assessment of how the property shows with recommendations made to enhance, highlight and best showcase the property. What items should be packed, furniture removed or moved to another room for better flow. What updates should be done, painting etc & what limits to put on spending for updates so homeowner doesn't spend more than what they can get back in the sell of the house.
Landscaping & Exterior recommendations are also made.
- The owner/seller takes the notes as no written report is Provided, I do provide a folder of information handouts that I compile to help provide additional information to reinforce what the consultation covers. Information to also help the home owner better prepare for Open House or showings.
- Who pays? I do work with Realtors who provide the initial consultation to their clients (1-2 hours) but then the home seller covers the rest if more time or services are needed. I explain this at the beginning of the appointment. Some Realtors of course have their clients pay for it directly.
- LEAD TIME: the sooner the better of course! Schedule depending I can often work someone in the same week. I do weekend and evening consultations by appointment only however I fully realize many work and can only meet in those hours.
I try to be flexible!
- References: I am happy to provide Realtor references for you to speak with who utilize this service and always encourage a new Realtor I work with to accompany me on the first consultation for the duration or partial time. It helps us develop a rapport and comfort level that I know is vital to developing a working relationship.
Not a lot to pay to find out, up front, exactly what needs to be done, removed or added
before you even take the pictures to list your home for sell.
WHY Risk loosing potential buyers because you didn't do or undo something you never
thought of or the Realtor never thought of.
As I have mentioned before my parents still live in the home I grew up in on the North Westside and it is so good to be close to them, see them everyday and run over for coffee when I feel like it:)

Hands-on Staging
All the while, keeping YOUR goals in mind, Evansville Home Staging will address the concerns identified in our home consultation. We will work together get the home in show-ready condition. This would include curb appeal and room transformations with your furnishings and accessories as well as items we supply for staging day photos for use in your marketing efforts. Recommendations for de-cluttering, packing, cleaning, etc. should be completed before staging day to maximize the benefits.
