When I decided to do DHNM it was first of course to generate some business - and Im happy to say a small but significant part of my business comes directly from the website, the blog, and the many friends and contacts I've made online since we went online. But it was also to create a useful tool which would aid Buyers in pre previewing (is there such a thing) potential properties. If getting data and seeing a photo could rule out showing a not for us property, my job becomes more productive and both their time and mine is better spent looking at real possibilities.
Anyway it wasn't too long after this came to mind that I was able to make the first local searchable MLS database of real estate listings available to the general public. Never any cost associated with using, never is registration required, and it is always free to use.
