About Angela:
Angela's love for Colorado began at the age of 10, when her family made the first ski trip to Colorado from Tulsa, OK. At a very young age, she committed to move to Colorado and did so in 1991. Moving from Denver, she feels as though she has reached her destination in Steamboat Springs. She now understands what others have called "The Yampa Valley Curse". She is excited to continue her sales career in this quickly changing real estate market and experience all of the great things that this community offers.
She has her BBA in marketing and advertising from the University of Oklahoma and has spent most of her career in sales and management. To enhance her real estate career and feed her passion, Angela received her EcoBroker certification in 2006, to be Steamboat's first. While she sells all types of real estate, this certification and her involvement in the local building community is a bonus to her clients. Her knowledge of energy-efficient and sustainable design continues to expand, as does the demand for those types of properties. In addition to her lengthy sales career, she has been involved in start-up companies including a local non-profit and loves the entrepreneurial spirit that is pervasive in Steamboat Springs. She consistently searches for innovations in marketing and strives to keep her clients up to date with her blog at www.yoursteamboathome.com/blog.
She is the Chair of the Yampa Valley Sustainability Council and has been integral in the start-up of this local non-profit that is focused on advancing sustainability initiatives in the region. She has written articles in HomeLinkmagazine and currently has a column called "Green Acres" in The Steamboat Local. Alpine skiing brought her to Colorado and is still her favorite winter sport, but recently has discovered mountain biking. Other interests include hiking 14ers, reading, cooking, art, interior design and giving back to the community.
