If you’ve been keeping up with the news lately, you’ve probably come across some articles saying the number of foreclosures in today’s housing market is going up. And that may leave you feeling a bit worried about what’s ahead, especially if you owned a home during the housing crash in 2008.The reality is, while increasing, the data shows a foreclosure crisis is not where the market is headed. Here’s the latest information stacked against the historical data to put your mind at ease. The Headlines Make the Increase Sound Dramatic – But It’s NotThe increase the media is calling attention to is a little bit misleading. Happy Tuesday All,I was following a blog by Patricia Kennedy - read it here:https://activerain.com/blogsview/5539151/don-t-be-stupid- And of course I had to leave a comment that was the size of a blog...so Voila...another blog is born.  Patricia's blog was about security cameras and theft and being stupid...and my response was pretty much a story about a broken toilet and my mind thinking I could get in trouble at the hardware store. Here it is (with a couple of minor edits):I have 2 extra office keys in a tiny plastic bag in my briefcase. (My briefcase goes with me no matter what vehicle...but not all vehicles have a key to the office). My other company office is 62 miles from my home. I had the keys made at that town's local Bomgaars store (think hardware store on farm steroids). Today ...

I have given much thought to this topic over the years.   I refer people to places or services when I want them to experience the same good things that I have experienced.  Also, I want to protect them from a bad experience. After some light study, I have come to find that not everyone refers people.  Why?  Because  what if the person or thing they refer does not perform the same as in the past? They don't want their friend to be mad or upset with them.  In most cases, the people I refer to you have done work for me and / or my clients.  If not, I will tell you that. Some other tips:* Get 3 estimates* Refer me to your friends, co-workers  and family,  you know I will not let you down !* There has never ever been a better time to sell your home and downsize. Please contact me when ready, I ...

Many may remember the movie the Ghost Busters with this iconic song of “Who You Gonna Call?” Hopefully your property doesn’t have any ghosts. As you think about either selling your property (residential home or vacant land) or buying a property, the first step may be to answer this question:Who You Gonna Call?Possibly family and friends have made recommendations to call this or that real estate agent. Then maybe you did some additional research by reading real estate agent recommendations on various real estate websites, watched the numerous television commercials, scrolled through various social media postings, and let us not forget all those direct mail postcards to letters.Finding the best real estate agent (meaning one you trust and has a proven track record) is not easy.  When we so...

According to recent data from Fannie Mae, almost 1 in 4 people still think home prices are going to come down. If you’re one of the people worried about that, here’s what you need to know.A lot of that fear is probably coming from what you’re hearing in the media or reading online. But here’s the thing to remember. Negative news sells. That means, you may not be getting the full picture. You may only be getting the clickbait version. As Jay Thompson, a Real Estate Industry Consultant, explains:“Housing market headlines are everywhere. Many are quite sensational, ending with exclamation points or predicting impending doom for the industry. Clickbait, the sensationalizing of headlines and content, has been an issue since the dawn of the internet, and housing news is not immune to it.”Here...

This horse community, located in Queen Creek, near the Gilbert, AZ border. This neighborhood features homes with at least 1 acre up to 5 acre parcels. There have been 5 recent sales, ranging from $690,000 to $860,000. Currently there are two homes on the market, and two others "pending". This is also irrigated horse property, which saves you a ton of money. I live in this community and spend around $500 annually in irrigated water. The land is amazing, the dirt easy to dig in, no red clay here. The trees we have thrive, as do all our shrubs, hedges and so on.  Irrigated horse property in Maricopa county is rare. The two homes currently for sale, are listed at $949,900 and $1.9M. All of these homes you can see in the video below. If you'd like to schedule a time to view the ones currently...

When you think about the responsibilities of a landlord, maintaining the safety of their rental property often comes to mind.
