We put or house on the market for 295,000 standard sell. We got offers right away. We ended up going with an off for 310,000 plus closing costs. Escrow was going to close in 10 days and our realtor told us everything was going good. We are putting an offer on the shortsale house that is taking time so we put our stuff into storage and we're going to live with my parents. Then we got a phone call and our realtor told us that our neighborhood is not FHA pproved. The buyer was doing a FHA loan. Now we have missed offers and have to pay for storage and mortgage payments that we thought we would not have to. Can we get the realtor to help us pay for these cost? After investing our neighborhood had not been FHA approved for almost two years.

My wife and I bought a house last year, but the contract/title failed to mention there was a second HOA for the property. We received a bill for this other HOA last week. Who was responsible for letting us know about this HOA, and can they be held responsible? How can I be held responsible for paying something which was not in the contract I signed?

One of my short sale sellers from 2010 just ran his credit report and found out that Wells Fargo reported his purchase money second short payoff as a charge off. And, it was reported during the short sale escrow prior to closing without notification to the seller that they were doing so. Is this common practice?? He wants to appeal to Wells to change the manner of reporting as the first reported it as a positive payoff less than full amount. Anyone have a similar experience with their short sale sellers and what avenue may be best for him to make an appeal? Thank you

Many of us have so few listings in our areas. I wonder why we dont see more REO inventory or do they dole it out slowly to get the best REO? I read somewhere they have millions of properties. I thought they were not in the "hold the property" business? By the time all is said and done, the banks may recoup most of their losses and then some at the rate they are going... what do you think?

We found a home we really like. It is a short sale. There have been multiple offers on the house and several have gone through the process of getting their bid amount approved by the lender and have backed out during the deligence period. We have put down money and signed a contract with our offer. The listing agent has changed the status on the house as active in the listing yet we have money in and a contract. Why isn't the status contingent? Shouldn't it show contingent since we are in a live contract?
