Q. In West Virginia once house is sold how many days do we have to move out, we are thinking 30 days is that correct?

Hello.  I would assume that by "sold" you mean under contract.  If so, it should be stated in the contract when the closing is (the official date of signing the loan agreement, transfer of title, handing over the keys to the house, etc.).  In my state, this means the seller would have been out of the house, the new owner can move in immediately after all the papers are signed.  However there are also separate agreements wherein the seller can stay for so many days after closing, but that has to be stipulated and agreed upon before hand.

Typically, 30 days is agreed to so the buyers can have their own inspections, secure a loan, and title search is done within this period.  Again, it depends on what both parties agreed to.  It could be as little as a week or more than 30 days as stated in the contract.
