Q. We are remodeling our kitchen. We Want to put in a walk in pantry, but this will eliminate the "eat in" area of the kitchen. Will this hurt resale?

i would prioritize the 'eat-in" area as opposed to the walk in pantry. I believe there would be more appeal factor with "eat-in" kitchen..perhaps you can compromise and have both, by modifying. Best wishes.....Mike

I would recommend that you not eliminate the eat-in area.  People expect to have that.  You will create an issue that may affect resale.

Personally, I'd rather see an eat-in kitchen, than a kitchen with a walk-in-pantry.  I think that holds more value than the pantry.

That is, of course, if the kitchen has enough cabinet and counter space otherwise.
