Q. Are there any companies in the Berkeley/ Oakland area that are managing portfolios of distressed residential debt?

Acquiring distressed residential mortgage assets is really tough task to go with. It is always advisable to acquire debt from major global financial institutions. That includes purchasing and servicing of residential mortgage loans and credit card loans for debt acquirers.

Thanks, Terry-

The portfolios I've had the opportunity to work have been purchases from GMAC and REIT's.  Large financial intuitions like Wells Fargo and B of A are discharging similar packages but it is difficult to understand the private equity funds/ companies that are purchasing this residential paper.

I was curious if there are such fund in the SF Bay area that are open to connect.
