Q. I have been in my home over 20 years, I have refinanced 2x but owe less than I paid originally. The neighborhood has gone to pot and I want out. I owe more than the property is worth, so there will likely be a short sale. I need every penny I get as I am retired, yet would like to purchase something an hour away -- but am afraid because this house won't likely sell... what can I do?
