About Us:Who is Angie Goodman?

I've been a Realtor since 2002.  I obtained my Seniors Real Estate Specialist designation initally, as I have a background of working with the mature community and wanted to take that expertise into the real estate realm.  I maintain contacts and relationships with professionals who serve this population and communicate with assisted living facilities, social service and governmental agencies serving seniors.

Seniors consider moving for one or a combination of 3 reasons: failing health, dwindling wealth or to be near family.  Often this being near family is a concern with one or both of the other reasons, health and money.  I work to determine the reasons the person is considering a move and help them understand and navigate the options available to them. 

I volunteer with Tallahassee's Elder Care Services Meals on Wheels program, delivering meals once a week.  I teach the AARP safe driving classes to area individuals, am an Ambassador with the Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce and a member of Tallahassee Real Talkers, a local Toastmasters club.

When not working or volunteering, I enjoy the outdoors for exercise by walking or cycling.

Areas of Expertise

My niche is the mature population, having a background of working the senior community, I stay involved in issues that affect them.  I network with social service agencies, city, county and governmental agencies and assisted living facilities and maintain a network of professionals that specialize with the mature population.  I can help with estate sales, relocation services, elder law attorneys, handyman services and other vendors to help the seniors moving into a new place and/or out of another home.

Most of the buyers I help are first time homebuyer, so I stay involved with lenders to specialize with these buyers and maintain knowledge of the changes in the lending programs affecting them.

I have my Brokers Associate license and the Certified Residential Specialist, Graduate Realtor Institute and Seniors Real Estate Specialist designations.
