My name is Amanda Mora and I am a Real Estate Representative with Royal LePage Realty North Inc. Brokerage in Blind River, Ontario. I am new to the business at the young age of 20, however within two years I have purchased 2 properties the first at 18 was an income property, the second a year later was my family home. I am currently renovating my (soon to be) family home from the ground up, and I am also in the process of purchasing my third property which will also be an income property.
I pride myself in being resourceful, informative and hardworking- I do not know everything, what I do know is that I can always find the information through some digging. I consistently research area sales, properties that are for sale by owner, and community dynamics. I believe success is built on education and investigation to which I spend alot of time researching the internet reading board resources.
I originally took the OREA Real Estate Course because I felt that throughout both of my purchases the Realtors had overlooked my questions with persistent "sign here, here & here." At times I was perplexed and full of questions, yet they continuously went unanswered.
After the purchase of my second home I decided that it would be my responsibility to take the proper steps to educate myself. And hence, I decided that I would make it my duty to educate any buyers and sellers that I deal with.
It is after all my responsbility as a Realtor to provide my clients with the most accurate, knowledgeable information I can.
I would not classify myself with one particular area of expertise as I find every sort of property to be educational. I take as many opportunities as I can to view, research, and list any and all sorts of properties. In the area I do most of my dealings each property in itself is unique and thus requires adequate attention to detail.
One of my most recent transactions was the most worthwhile and education situations I have encountered in my Real Estate career.
I have a property listed on the very pristine Lake Lauzon in Algoma Mills, Ontario it has seasonal road access which can be quite bumpy at times. I had a young couple who was interested in taking a look at the camp so I took our boat out, and they drove. In the midst of waiting for them to arrive it began to torrental downpour- my partner and I waited there for 15 minutes in the pouring rain for the young couple to arrive.
They said that after dealing with over half a dozen realtors in their property search we were the ones they were going to work with.
The young women later on told me that they were "sold" when they saw us standing in the rain because they could not get one other realtor to take them out to view a property similar to this one. They were told on several occasions to "check it out themselves & call if they were interested in making an offer."
