Selling real estate is a second career for me. I spent 14 years in the financial markets as the Chief Operations Officer of one of the largest NASDAQ trading firms on Wall Street called Troster Singer.  (Troster Singer was a division of Spear, Leeds & Kellogg which was later acquired by Goldman Sachs.)  I learned two critical skills on Wall Street that I utilize everyday on Main Street in my real estate career:

  • Number 1 -- How to evaluate an asset and render an expert opinion after performing comprehensive research. (I am often described as "thorough.")
  • Number 2 -- How to obtain the best terms in a negotiation. I started out on the NASDAQ Trading Desk so you learn how to negotiate real fast when competing directly with another trader. I also negotiated all the major service contracts for my firm so I've paid for my degree from Hard Knock U. I've already listed or sold $10,000,000 on behalf of many clients!

Not only do I sell real estate but I invest in real estate also.  This gives me a tactical edge over my competitors.  Since I’m always a buyer, I understand the buyer. 

Real Estate Licensing & Training

  • I am a licensed New Jersey Real Estate Agent (1999).
  • I am a licensed New Jersey Real Estate Broker (2004).
  • I hold the Real Estate Industry's GRI designation, which stands for Graduate REALTOR® Institute. GRI is nationally recognized as the #1 professional real estate designation. This rigorous educational program requires 90 hours of live course instruction from a statewide faculty selected because of extensive experience in various areas of real estate expertise.
  • I hold the Real Estate industry's ABR designation, which stands for Accredited Buyer's Representative -- issued by REBAC.
  • I've taken courses at Monmouth University's Real Estate Institute, having successfully completed graduate-level courses in Commercial Lease Negotiation and N.J. Real Estate Law.
  • In 2007 I passed my New Jersey Real Estate Instructor exam, one of 400 active state-licensed teachers of the pre-certification course.  I am also an experienced Trainer and Mentor.

  • I earned a Bachelors of Arts (B.A.) in English from Saint Peter’s College (1984).
  • I earned a Masters of Arts (M.A.) degree in English from Bowling Green State University (1986).
  • I earned a Masters of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Finance from Fordham University (1994).

Personal info

I've lived in Monmouth County for 15 years with my wife (high school sweetheart J) and three children.  We have two dogs.  I like to fish, camp, write and ride my Harley Davidson, a black 1999 Road King.  And of course, invest and research real estate!

I work with buyers and sellers, tenants and landlords.  It’s not enough to render an expert opinion to buyers and sellers about what a property is worth.  I go to great lengths to educate my clients as to the process of transacting real estate.  That includes how to best stage your home for profit when it comes time to sell and how today’s advertising concepts can be leveraged to get you the very best price in the shortest amount of time.

Local Markets & Counties

As a member of three MLS Services -- Monmouth, Middlesex and Ocean Counties -- I represent consumers interested in central New Jersey. 

I spend most of my time in Western Monmouth County, notably Aberdeen/Matawan, Colts Neck, Freehold, Hazlet, Holmdel, Howell, Lincroft, Little Silver, Long Branch, Manalapan, Marlboro, Morganville, Middletown, Shrewsbury, Tinton Falls, West Long Branch and Wall.
