My practical experience and education in the real estate industry establishes me as a true real estate professional in central Connecticut.  In real estate today, it is not enough to just have lived in the same town all your life.  Real estate is not a part time business, and real estate transactions are important business transactions with a very personal side.  A Realtor should have a comprehensive background in dealing with people at all levels, negotiation, acquisition, communication, and generating results in a responsible and timely manner.  With me you also get a team with a firm knowledge of real estate appraisal, corporate transfers, and individual relocations. 

Designations Acquired and What do they Mean?

I am an Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) - The Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR®) designation is the benchmark of excellence in buyer representation.  This coveted designation is awarded to real estate practitioners by the Real Estate BUYER'S AGENT Council (REBAC) of the National Association of Realtors who meet the specified educational and practical experience criteria.

I have been awarded the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designation.  The Certified Residential Specialist designation is the highest designation awarded to sales associates in the residential sales field.  The CRS designation recognizes professional accomplishments in both experience and education.  To earn the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designation, every REALTOR® must have significant experience and volume of real estate transactions.  Every CRS Designee is required to maintain membership in the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® and to abide by its strict Code of Ethics.  To help make the home buying and selling process more rewarding, every CRS designee must have a proven track record in the business, as well as advanced education in related areas like finance, technology and marketing.  Only 4 percent of REALTORS® obtain this prestigious designation.

I am a Realtor e-PRO.  A Realtor e-PRO® Internet Professional is a Realtor® who has completed a rigorous certification program endorsed by the prestigious National Association of Realtors® (NAR).  Real estate agents and brokers who have earned Realtor e-PRO® Certification are Internet Professionals who have completed extensive training using the Web.  Realtor e-PRO® Certification means the real estate professional is prepared to employ the latest techniques and services for your benefit, just like you've grown to expect from a professional.

I have the SRES (Senior Real Estate Specialist) designation.  Seniors Real Estate Specialists® are Realtors® qualified to meet the special needs and concerns of maturing Americans.  A national program since 1998, The Senior Advantage Real Estate Council® (SAREC®) offers a specific designation, SRES®, to identify those members who have successfully completed its education program along with other prerequisites.  By earning the SRES® designation, your Realtor® has demonstrated necessary knowledge and expertise to counsel senior clients through major financial and lifestyle transitions involved in relocating, refinancing, or selling the family home.  Your Realtor® has received special training, gets regular updates, and is prepared to offer the options and information needed in making life changing decisions.

From the Same Client, Now a Seller, in July 2006 in letter written to my broker: 

"I first met Chris when I was moving to Bristol for a new job.  I had found a realtor through my company's relocation department.  It was a terrible experience, and I finally had to ask for a new realtor.  Along came Chris, and the difference was like night and day.  He asked me what I was looking for, listened, did extensive research and only showed me homes that met my needs.  He presented each objectively, and gave me great advice with my best interests at heart, even if it meant prolonging the search.  We found a home and Chris was with me every step of the way, even spending the better part of a day at the house when the home inspection occurred, finding things that the home inspector did not consider.  He inserted a clause into the contract that protected me when the unique contemporary home appraised significantly below my offer.  The search for and purchase of the house was a pleasure once Chris came along.
