About Us:

Unlike a traditional loan officer, I'm a Mortgage Planner/Mortgage Consultant.  And what I do is help my clients integrate the loan they select in to their overall long and short term financial and investment plans so that we can minimize taxes, improve cash flow, and minimize interest expense.  And how I do that is I help my clients successfully manage their home equity to increase liquidity, safety, and rate of return; it's a completely different approach from what has been traditionally done in the past.

Most homeowner's think that a mortgage is something that needs to be paid off as quickly as possible; that is "great depression thinking", that's the way it used to be.  You go back 30 or 40 years ago and paying off your mortgage was the foundation of a financial plan.  Today what I find is that paying off your mortgage as quickly as possible may not be the fastest way to create financial independence.  It may not even be the fastest way to become debt free.  It might not be the best way to protect yourself in the event of an emergency.  There's a new approach, a new strategy.

Areas of Expertise

I do not have just one area that I specialize in though there are a few that I have specific knowledge in.  As mentioned I'm a Mortgage Planner and as such I work with clients to find the best mortgage for their situation...there are literally thousands of different mortgage programs out there.  Why is this?  Because there is not one mortgage program that is right for everyone, not even for the majority of people.  Every person is unique as is their situation and needs...this calls for properly matching up the right mortgage for them.  It is for this very reason that I do not claim only one area of expertise other than that of working to exceed my clients' expectations.

FHA is a great program and only now growing in popularity again after the subprime meltdown.  It's funny because this program was always there, it's a low cost entry point like subprime was, and the rates were better.  So why were people using all these subprime loans?  There's a long list of reasons, some valid and some not.  For a low down payment FHA is the program to use these days!!  VA is another very good program, a little like FHA and only available to veterans.

Investment property is another area I have unique insight in to because I am also a real estate investor and understand the pains and wants of the investor.  Now this does not mean that I can get you want you want every time simply because what one may want and what's available out there in the market place don't always align.

You want hard money?  I've got it!

I'll end with where I started, I'm a Mortgage Planner and this means that I do not just get people a mortgage; I sit down and learn what their needs truely are.  I've had people come in and say I want abc and after talking with them about what they are doing, their plans, and where they want to be in 3, 5, 7, 10, 15 years we discover that abc is not what's in their best interest.  This is based upon both long and short term plans and sometimes we all just need to sit down, talk things through, and put them on paper to realize what we though we wanted is not what we really need to accomplish our goals (and I do mean everyone, including myself).
