Who is Kathleen
I am the support system in our family for the real estate business. I am 100% dedicated to creating marketing ideas for our business. I have a BS degree in accounting and currently work as an Corporate Controller for a mid-size company in Overland Park, KS. I started my career with Deloitte and Touche in 1996, now I use all the knowledge and skills I have learned to help my family in the real estate business. I continue to listen and learn from the web and classes that I take to make myself a better "Marketing Expert" for our business.
The History of Work
Accounting& Finance and Marketing are my specialized skills. I love to work with start-up companies. It is my passion to share my knowledge and expertise from my business degree with individuals who are starting to go it on their own. I graduated from Montana State University in 1996 with a BA in Business, with an emphasis in Accounting. I sat for the CPA exam in May of 1996 and I am very pleased to say that I passed all four sections the first time. I was recruited out of college to go to work for Deloitte & Touche (D&T), in Anchorage Ak. I stayed with D&T for four years. I was lured away by a client, and ended up in Fairbanks, Ak. for another four years. This is where I began my career as a Controller. I worked in the non-profit arena for another 6 years. In between I re-located to Kansas City. I now work for a wonderful company in Overland Park, KS. It is a for-profit company so it is a bit different then what I am use to, but it is a wonderful opportunity and great way to learn to keep moving forward in my career. My overall goal is to be financially secure by the age of 55 so I can retire from working for others and concentrate on working for our family business.

I am a mother of two and a grandmother of three. Yes, I am young grandmother. I love being a grandma. I have two-steps sons as well as my older two. It has been a struggle to have two young children back in the house with me, but I am getting use to it. The picture is me, my husband Paul, my daughter, and Paul's two boys. My son and his two children do not live in the state, but are with us in our hearts.
