As Owner and President of the Texas-based interior decorating firm, Interiority Complex (founded in 2002), Ashley has personally sold, staged and decorated hundreds of homes. Since its inception, the company has continually experienced success and growth.
EXPERIENCE...
Prior to launching Interiority Complex, Ashley was an award winning top-producer with two national homebuilders, as well as a licensed Realtor. After many years of experience in working with home buyers during the purchasing and building process, she knows exactly what compels them to bring an offer to the table, and what sends them running. She personally trains each consultant that works for Interiority Complex, so they learn that staging a home is much more than "designing to sell" or "re-decorating". It is strategic marketing. In addition, Ashley trains Interiority Complex Certified Design Consultants to help clients create beauty, harmony, comfort and balance in their homes without breaking the bank. "So many people I have come across have been brainwashed into thinking that need brand new furniture to make their homes livable," Whittenberger says. "The truth is that there are many options available to help people fall in love with their space that will save them money and lessen their footprint on the environment."
INDUSTRY TRAINING...
In addition to continually attending conferences, seminars and training courses in the home staging and interior design industry, Ashley Whittenberger has completed the following course studies:
Austin Institute of Real Estate: Law of Contracts, Law of Agency, Principles of Real Estate; American School of Design and Installation - Course graduate; Center Stage Home: Achieved "Home Staging Expert"; Home Staging Resource: Achieved "Certified Home Stager"; Window Coverings Association of America: Certified Window Treatment Professional. Ashley also received her real estate license in 2000 but has placed it on inactive status since starting her business.
Ashley is a Certified Window Treatment Professional as well as a Real Estate Staging Expert. She is a member of the Austin Board of Realtors, the Window Coverings Association of America, the Real Estate Staging Association and the Interior Design Society. In addition, she has successfully completed the American School of Design and Installation courses with Lamar Griggs, and multiple courses through the Sheffield School of Interior Design. Ashley continually attends conferences, seminars and training courses in the window coverings and interior design industry in order stay abreast of the latest trends, fashions and technology associated with interior decorating. In addition, her award-winning company is proud to be among the top dealers in the nation for Graber Blinds.

TRAINING...
When she's not helping clients, Ashley spends her time teaching and training others who are either new to the industry, or wanting to sharpen their skills in the field of home staging and re-design. She is founder and President of The Interiority Complex University for Professional Real Estate Stagers, Decorators & ReDesigners, which will begin offering courses, training and certifications in late 2008. Ashley is approved by the Texas Real Estate Commission to provide and teach courses on home staging for Realtors' Mandatory Continuuing Education credits. Her most recent course, entitled "Staging to Sell: Strategic Marketing through Home Staging" is offered quarterly. When she's not busy decorating, staging or training, Ashley loves to spend time RV'ing with her family, mountain biking, hiking, fishing, spending time at the beach, reading, painting, enjoying live music and life! Ashley has been happily married for 14 years. She and her husband reside in Austin, Texas and have one son, now 7.

Before launching her career in Real Estate, Ashley enjoyed a successful career in the publishing world as a literary agent. During this time, she met some of the leading self-help, business and coaching gurus of our time (in addition to whole bunch of other famous people.) This is just an FYI on the property @ 10806 Olympia Fields Loop. Ashley you met with the Nuccio's last fall on how to stage. The Nuccio's staged their home and we placed the home on the market mid May and it went pending in one week. They took all of you advice to a T and I believe that was the driving force. I am impressed by your enthusiasm for decorating as well as your philosophy of involving the client in the decorating process. I am not a decorator, but as a writer and marketing specialist, I can see that you have clearly defined your "unique selling proposition." By instilling confidence in a client's decorating style, you are providing much more than design services. If you are able to communicate this in your marketing and web materials, I am sure you will have much success.
I like that you are of the philosophy that says, "Decorate a person's house and she will be have a fabulous living room today; but teach her how to decorate, and she will live in style forever!"
