Yes, affordable is in caps. The reason for that is a very obvious one.
Allow me to explain; There is no denying that mortgage defaults are on the rise, and unfortunately nationwide foreclosure rates are hitting an all time high.
Why has this happened you may ask? Simply put, it is because home buyers and refinancers were not placed into AFFORDABLE home loan products!
But, how could this be? For a number of reasons.
- Primarily, lenders had broadened their products to allow even the most credit or income challenged client to borrow money.
- Secondly, and I believe even more importantly, is the fact that borrowers were uninformed and uneducated about the home loan products the lender had gotten them!
Crafty loan products like various ARM programs were misunderstood by borrowers and easily doled out by lenders because they allowed home ownership to those who otherwise would not have had the opportunity.
This is exactly the reason why obtaining AFFORDABLE financing is the key to enjoying all benefits of home ownership.
Without affordable home loans, you're left like so many unfortunate others have been....financially stretched thin, living from pay check to pay check, and possibly facing foreclosure.
