I was born and raised in Newton and Jasper County.  I married Carroll Barr in 1974.  We have lived in this area most of our married life.  We raised our 3 children here.   Our children now live in surrounding communities but typically spend Sundays with us on the farm.    We were lucky enough to purchase my parents farm about 12 years ago.   And love living in the country.

Our hobbies include camping, flower gardening and especially grandchildren. 

I have been a realtor since 1996.    In 2000 I purchased the REMAX of Newton office.  And have been the broker/owner of the Newton office since then.  I  purchased the Baxter office in January of 2008.   Our office started with 6 agents.  We currently have 16 agents all together.   Our philosophy includes continued education, having fun and treating others how we want to be treated.

Designations that I hae recieved over the years include GRI, CRS and Broker.

As a seasoned Realtor I have experienced many types of markets.  I love working with acreage and farms, as I grew up on a farm and live there now.  But truly it is a pleasure to work with many different types of sellers and buyers.  Each transaction has its own special set of issues.  Helping a transaction to go smoothly is an art.  Problem solving is my specialty.
