Description
If you are looking for an experienced team of Phoenix short sale agents, you have come to the right place! Our Phoenix short sale agents pride themselves on our reputation, which is second to none!

Meet Me

I am a third-generation Real Estate Broker, and a native of the North Phoenix and Scottsdale areas.  To this day, I still call North Phoenix home, and I spend almost all of my time working in this part of town (We live in the area of Tatum/Shea).

I graduated in 1991 from Arizona State University with a B.A. in Business.  In 2001, I started Summit Land Consultants, and primarily sold land until recently "dipping my toe in the water" on the Residential side of our business.  I found that I get more satisfaction helping homeowners avoid foreclosures (mainly by helping them through the Phoenix short sale process) than I got out of helping investors make money on their land investments.  Since 2001, I've been either the Listing Broker or Buyers Broker in more than $250 Million worth of transactions, and 95% of my business comes from referrals from Phoenix short sale clients I've done business with in the past.  Phoenix short sales are challenging, and our team of Phoenix short sale agents pride themselves on having one of the highest success rates in the Phoenix short sale market.

I have been married to my wife, Kim (who is a Middle School Principal), for 18 years, and we have two wonderful daughters.  Kaitlyn, 16, attends Chapparal High School, and is the Sophomore Class President!  Hailey is 9 years old, and attends Cherokee Elementary.

Meet Our Team

I started Summit Home Consultants to act as a division of Summit Land Consultants, in 2008.  I am a licensed Real Estate Broker, and have a team Phoenix short sale agents in place that is un-matched in our industry.  As a Phoenix short sale agent, my goal is to guide homeowners through the difficult process of avoiding foreclosure.

Immediately upon forming the company, I realized that there was a true need in the marketplace for more personalized, one-on-one service, much like we provided to our land clients at Summit Land Consultants.  We also found that there was a real need for homeowners who are caught in the foreclosure mess that our market faces today.  Helping clients through the Phoenix short sale process has become our primary focus.

Please do yourself a favor and visit our website at www.forsalephoenixhomes.com.  It is absolutely LOADED with information and reports describing the options available to avoid foreclosure, and deals primarily with the Phoenix short sale process.

THE CUSTOMERS NEVER LIE...

Bob Hertzog is a great communicator. He kept me up-to-date throughout the process of my short sale. He was very receptive to my questions and concerns. Bob also NEGOTIATED on our behalf. Today, many real estate agents simply go through the steps of a transaction, but Bob worked for us, negotiating with the bank and the buyer to ensure that we got the best deal possible. I have referred him to friends who also had a great experience. Bob is a true professional. I will continue to refer him to others.

Bob helped me buy my first house. He was very helpful through the process. He explained everything to me in words I could understand. Bob was always professional. I couldn't ask for a better realtor.

Bob Hertzog helped me and my family through the process of a short-sale last year. He is extemely knowledgeable, educated and truly did what was right for us throughout the process. We could not have made it through this difficult time without him and have recommended him to several of our friends and family that are considering short sales. He is a wealth of information and his honesty is a tribute to his character as a business person. Thank you Bob!

I found Bob as a result of non-satisfactory performance from a different Realtor. I knew what house I wanted but was out of the area, it came on the market for 3 days. Bob prepared an offer, e-mailed it to me within an hour, I had it back to him shortly after and it was submitted. Being the best offer, it was accepted by the bank, and the sale went through without any problems. The selling agent made the comment that he has NEVER had a bid package get accepted on the FIRST submission, without any corrections or additions or any other goofy request, before receiving one from Bob. If there is a short sale or REO, Bob Hertzog is one awesome agent to get the deal closed.

Bob was Awesome in my selling experience. He kept me informed and any time I had questions his responses were immediate. He also took the time to explain in detail the process of short sales. I recommended his services to several of my friends and will continue to do so.

Bob is very professional and a pleasure to work with. He has the ability to put you at ease with his knowledge and expertise of his field. He made the whole short sale process as painless as possible giving honest and timely advise. I would highly recommend Bob to any of my friends and when the time comes to sell or buy in the future I will definitely look to Bob for his assistance.

Bob is a pro!  He recently helped us with the purchase of our home in North Scottsdale.  The home was a short sale.  We had made several offers through other Realtors for "Distressed Homes", but they always fell through, mainly because we were waiting for the lender to respond.  As it turned out, Bob actually educated the Selling Agent on how to get the Lender to respond to our offer, and it went through in just 4 WEEKS!

We were facing foreclosure, and Bob helped us modify our loan with our lender.  Thanks to his advice, we are still in our home, our children still get to go to school with their friends, and we are HAPPY CAMPERS!  The weight of the world is off of our shoulders now!

Like so many others, I overpaid for my home in July/2006.  I lost my job last month, and I was faced with a major financial hardship. Bob stepped in, on my behalf, and negotiated a short sale.  He even found a rental in the neighborhood for me, which allowed our kids to continue to attend school/play sports with their friends for the next year, for 1/2 the price of our mortgage!  THANKS BOB!

My husband, Mike, never got to see the home until we moved in.  I can’t tell you how thrilled I was to hear him say what a great job we had done in finding the perfect home and location in Scottsdale. Now that we are all moved in, we actually had the opportunity to have dinner with you and your awesome wife, Kim.  We had so much fun getting to know the both of you and hope that we will be able to spend more time with you in the future.

I called Bob after talking to a friend who he had just helped through the short sale of her home. I had never met him before and not knowing much about the process or what it entailed I made the call being very skeptical as there are unfortunately too many people out there who take advantage. Bob instantly came across as very genuine and sincere. He wasn’t pushy and offered up much advise to help me make the right decision. We stayed in touch on and off for about a year before I finally decided to put the house up for short sale. What can be a stressful and taxing situation Bob made as smooth and uncomplicated as possible. He showed genuine care and consideration towards my needs and assisted in all aspects of the process.

I would highly recommend Bobs services to any friend looking to either buy a house or sell their current property. Finding someone whom you can trust and who is honest is such a relief and Bob not only meet but exceeded in these categories.

I appreciate all your help Bob.

Best regards

Paul M.

Bob-- I want to thank you for the assistance you are providing to my wife's cousin on her short sale. From the immediate return call to set up the initial meeting to the detailed market analysis on her home's value she has been unbelievably happy with your services. Your extensive knowledge of B of A's loan practices and how to deal with them has given her great piece of mind. Thanks again for helping out --these things are so emotionally draining for the seller and you've lifted a burden from her in more ways than you can imagine.

Dear Bob,

Thank you so much for answering my call and my questions.  I don’t know what prompted you to volunteer for today’s Mod-a-Thon, but I am grateful that you did and that you received my call.  You may not think you did much, but I have been avoiding facing this situation since we got the call last Thursday regarding the foreclosure proceedings and it was tearing me up inside.  You gave me the hope, the strength, and the appropriate phone number to get the help and the answers I needed, as well as the assurance to trust in the fact that everything happens for a reason.  I now feel more confident and comfortable with the process to follow…as I so choose with the options available to me.

The HOPE complaint number that you gave me transferred me to the Making Home Affordable Programs’ escalation department, (evidently they are like the watchdog of the HOPE program to make sure banks are working on the up and up and doing their job),  and there I got some amazing help and explanation from their representative.  He called Bank of America with me to try to determine if the loan was being modified by the HOPE program or was attempting to be modified in house by B of A.  Bank of America said they could not determine that for sure yet, but it had the initials MHA, (Making Home Affordable), on it and that , yes, it was in the final approval stages.  Russell, the MHAP representative said that was an encouraging statement and that he anticipated us receiving our decision one way or the other very soon….hopefully he is correct.

I still would like the names of agents in my area that specialize in short sales in case that is the route we decide is the best way to proceed with our particular situatoin.  The representative looked up our property on zillow.com and informed me that the estimated appraisal value of our home has decreased by about $35,000.  It is now only worth about $99,000 and we owe about $86,000 on it.  We may decide that a short sale is the best option for us after all after consulting with an agent.

Again, thank you.  You were most definitely a blessing and I greatly appreciate your help and your service to the community.

Sincerely,

Freida R.
