ABOUT ME
I am a third-generation Real Estate Broker, and a native of the North Phoenix and Scottsdale areas. To this day, I still call North Phoenix home, and I spend almost all of my time working in this part of town (We live in the area of Tatum/Shea).
I graduated in 1991 from Arizona State University with a B.A. in Business. In 2001, I started Summit Land Consultants, and primarily sold land until recently "dipping my toe in the water" on the Residential side of our business. I found that I get more satisfaction helping homeowners out of foreclosures (mainly by short sales) than I got out of helping investors make money on their land investments. Since 2001, I've been either the Listing Broker or Buyers Broker in more than $250 Million worth of transactions, and 95% of my business comes from referrals from clients I've done business with in the past.
I have been married to my wife, Kim (who is a Middle School Principal), for 16 years, and we have two wonderful daughters. Kaitlyn, 14, will attend Chapparal High School next year, and was recently named Freshman Class President! Hailey is 7 years old, and attends Cherokee Elementary in Paradise Valley.

Summit Home Consultants was created by Ed Cheney (my brother-in-law) and myself. We are both Licensed Real Estate Brokers, and do not employ any agents.
Immediately upon forming the company, we realized that there was a true need in the marketplace for more personalized, one-on-one service, much like we provided to our land clients at Summit Land Consultants. We also found that there was a real need for homeowners who are caught in the Foreclosure mess that our market faces today.
We took it upon ourselves to become CDPE's (Certified Distressed Property Experts). In doing so, we feel that we have distinguished ourselves as being THE Short Sale and Foreclosure Experts in our market. We constantly hear the same things from our clients..."I've heard that lenders won't respond to a short sale". Or, "I was told that the lender won't speak to me until I've missed a payment" (Wrong!)
