These past few weeks have been so incredibly busy in comparison to my usual pace.  One grandson graduated from high school on Thursday morning.  Another grandson has been visiting me all this week, which has been fun.  Yesterday, we made a quick one-day trip over to Yosemite, about 140 miles from home.  I hope you enjoy these picture scenes from this glorious National Park Crown Jewel in springtime!

Central Texas couldn't buy a drop of rain for much of last year.  Things changed yesterday.  San Antonio flooded with over 9 inches in some areas.  Helotes, where I was for the weekend, got over 3 inches and it came quickly.  The result?



Until last night this creek was absolutely dry.  The unfortunate thing, aside from people who had homes flooded, is that the rain did not fall where we really need it.  We need about a dozen storms like this to the west and northwest so our lake can fill up again.  Lakes Buchanan and Travis, which … (2 comments)

 Yesterday....began like any other...coffee freshly brewed....Dini helping guide my fingers on the keyboard and my morning visit to Active Rain...had blog notes....anxious to see who had what to say and get the gray matter stirring for a productive start to the end of week....though our week would not end with appointments throughout the weekend.

April 2013 Monthly Market Detail Florida Single Family Homes Another positive month of results reported by Florida Realtors for the April 2013 Monthly Market Detail Florida Single Family Homes for the entire state of Florida.  All indices have moved in a positive direction.  Year to year closed sales were up by 17.4% and new sales under contract (new pending sales) increased by 31.9%.
Both median and average sales prices were up (April 2012 to April 2013) by 14.2% and 10.1% respectively.

WHY THE HOME OWNER WANTS THE HOME INSPECTOR TO IDENTIFY OIL LEAKS.
This post inspired by an article by Jay Markanich about oil tank leaks.  Jay states:  "I think the Realtor doesn't like me."
What difference does it make.  If that home inspection was in Virginia, you might have saved that home buyer a lot of money!!  It's not important for a Realtor to LIKE a home inspector.  It's important that the Realtor use the information contained in the inspection report to PROTECT THEIR BUYER/CLIENT'S INTEREST.

It's Saturday evening on a holiday weekend, and I have a choice to make.
My kids want to have a Bonfire in the backyard tonight. You know, invite their friends over, have smores. That kind of stuff.
