Master-Planned Community of Panther Creek Estates Frisco, TX - 10:22 PM
Panther Creek Estates is located in north Frisco, bordered by Hillcrest to Independence (from West to East) and Eldorado Parkway to Panther Creek (from South to East). Prior to becoming one of the most-sought after Frisco community, Panther Creek was originally farm land when first settles arrived more than 150 years ago. As you enter the community, you are greeted by picturesque landscape: from two great refreshing ponds to lushy meadow grasses and wildflowers throughout the different seasons. Residents enjoy two parks (Bob White and Mourning Dove) maintained by the City of Frisco. The third park will be a

Boost Your Home's Value Reasonably - 03:02 PM
Really wanted to discuss the previous post a little more, but felt that the tone of this blog might be taken the wrong way. There is so much information that I wish to impart upon you. Yet, at the same time, wish to make this a not only useful, but some lighthearted blog in nature. So, with that known, I am changing the direction a little today to tell you about several cheap ways in which you can update your home & also increase it's curb appeal. Whether you're getting ready to sell your home or want to spiff it up, inexpensively, for your

A Little of This - A Little of That! - 03:10 PM
Housing costs have risen substantially within the last couple of years. Have wages increased as much? We know the answer there. Now, I'm not going to get on my soapbox. But, we continually each day lock more and more people out of the housing market. Condos are costing in the 100K's; a nice relatively reasonable 3/2 single-family home will run approximately the mid 200's. Enough of that, but it is something that we do have to keep in mind. We should never forget, because that only leads to possibly losing the lesson. Real Estate has returned to what it was normally. The market is very healthy. We are very lucky

Orlando Rankings - 03:13 PM
What a coincidence! After writing the previous post, I came across an article in the Orlando Sentinel by Lynn Thomasson, entitled, "Where Orlando Ranks." Orlando is ranked #2 behind Las Vegas as a summer destination according to Expedia. But, it seems that we are 1st, according to the American Society of Travel Agents, as a domestic travel destination. According the Milken Institute, Orlando is 6th in job creation & sustainability. This all bodes well for the Greater Orlando area and proves out some of the things that I have written in regard to Orlando & real estate. So, until next time, let's just

Print Marketing/Advertising vs Technology - Past & Present? - 01:26 AM
We are all pushing forward on the internet which is becoming a stronger force for lead generation daily. While we have been teching ourselves out, for position, lead generation and marketing, we have still had to pay close attention to the more traditional means of lead generating and marketing, print media. I have always known that the time would come when we could start pulling back a bit on the traditional as we push forward into the future. I read an article a couple of weeks ago that stated Coldwell Banker (#1 in my area) and Prudential were pulling back substantially

OK Realtors, here's the honest truth, as a fellow Realtor..... - 02:11 AM
As I spend more years inside the Real Estate business, I find something very hard to digest. As a Realtor, with the code of ethics we have and all must uphold - why is it that we try to sell a property that we know is a mess, in need of Staging, or a least a massive clutter-removal, and yet nothing is done to help the seller gain his true value of the property, as well as gaining our true commissions? WE ARE AFRAID TO OFFEND THE SELLER. It is preposterous to me. In fact, it seems unbelieveable that these listings sit and sit

Charlotte NC Real Estate Transfer Fee - 08:34 AM
I just wanted to remind everyone about the upcoming vote by our leaders here in Charlotte NC as to whether or not to approve a 1% Real Estate Transfer Fee to all transactions. I have received word that the city officials are bringing in county officials to help push this through. This is the most obsurd thing I have heard of. I moved here from California to get away from this type of unrepresented taxation which is pure lunacy. Contact your representitives. Have your clients do the same.

New Score? - 04:56 PM
New Credit Score There is a new credit score called the "VantageScore", developed by the three major credit bureaus, Equifax, Experian and TransUnion, to compete with Fair Isaac's scoring models (FICO), which is currently in use. Many lenders are reluctant to begin using this new scoring method until more is learned about the product and how it will be adopted within the industry. Until this is determined, most lenders will continue to use their current credit score philosophy, based on the Fair Isaac scoring models provided through credit bureaus today.According to Advantage Credit President Ron Litt, it could take years to move
