I've just received a $1.5 mil listing in Lake Tahoe by being a co-listing agent with my partners in California. That kind of stuff is possible through ILS membership. It's my first, that's so expensife, and I am not sure what's the best way to advertise it. I am not counting MLS, flyers and newsletters. I was thinking to put it in some paper or magazine that would be seen by possible buyers who can actualy afford it........ and I feel like I am slightly drawing blank... I, like a lot of Realtors, have reciprocal links at the foot of my website. But do they work? I get more leads from Open House signs and from ActiveRain than from anything else. So, should I nuke the endless list of graphics and links to directories that I have on my home page? I wonder what the 'Rainers" think?
Attitudes have changed about home buying and according to Inman News the actual number of home buyers remained low in August, falling to the lowest level since 1990.
It has been bugging me all day. Why don't they like me? What did I do wrong? Am I not cool enough for them? And finally, I have come to the conclusion that honestly it doesn't matter to me. 
Facing Foreclosure, Good or Bad?One of the states that is facing the most high rates on foreclosure is Colorado where unluckily I live, for better and worse, Colorado real estate steals the spot for being with the most foreclosures. The RealtyTrac, INC report shows that since April, 3706 homes in Colorado were in state of foreclosure. That translates to a ratio of one of every 4954 households in foreclosures. The national average is one of every 1,268 households.From 2005 to 2006 almost doubled the amount of foreclosures, just in 1 year. HOUSTON - (Per Houston Association of Realtors) - While the number of properties sold and the average sales price dropped modestly from last month's blistering rates, the figures for July were still the best ever for the month. July real estate sales in the greater Houston region continued their streak of new monthly records.Total property sales for the month totaled 7,975, which was a 3.3 percent increase over July 2005. Properties sold during the month reached a total of nearly $1.6 billion, a 10.3 percent increase compared to last year's more than $1.4 billion in July sales.
