Nothing New In The Rain...It's All Regurgitated...ROAR! - 04:10 PM

Before I begin let me disclose that during most of this post my tongue will be planted firmly in my cheek. Okay? Good.
I have been on AR for well over a year now. That being the case I think I have seen every possible topic. If a Blogger can think it up...Odds are good that another Blogger has already done so.
I am starting to feel like my comments on some of these topics are regurgitated. I mean please how many times can I comment on ....

Bloggers: Be Afraid of the Big, Bad Broker (or Bank) - 07:21 PM
The real estate weblogging phenomenon is catching fire like desert timber in the summer.  The Active Rain Real Estate Network, the little engine that could, has grown from less than 5000 members to over 50,000 members in a short period of time.  The attraction?  Talking about the future around the virtual water cooler.
Long Beach Realtor, Laurie Manny, said, "The beauty of real estate blogging is that it gives agents access, now.  Access to people whom we never would have dreamed of meeting a year ago."  Ms. Manny was talking about the quick but meaningful connections she made through her participation … (79 comments)

Central Kitsap Junior High Football on the Kitsap Peninsula WA - 01:56 PM
Central Kitsap Jr. High JV Football Team demolishes a stunned Ridgetop Jr. High
Today was Game 3 of the season for the CKJH Cubs JV Football squad. Our opponent, Ridgetop Jr. High, has historically 'spanked' us quite handily over the past 5 or so years. So going into today's game, our boys were viewing this game as perhaps the most challenging of the season.
Present to view the rival showdown was none other than my two "Better-Halves" - my lovely wife, Janice, and my fellow SoundBiteBlog partner and ActiveRainer, Mark Flanders.
Ridgetop tried to set the tone early by attempting a short t-less kick-off. Their strategy paid-off … (4 comments)

It's That "Fall Festival" Time of Year Again in Anne Arundel County - 09:23 AM
Prepared especially for FocusOnCrofton.com and Localism.com

Larry and I took our grandchildren, Megan and Matthew, to the Fall Festival at Homestead Gardens in Davisonville on a windy and chilly October day last year.  With that memory fresh in mind, it almost caught me by surprise to see the big tent set up and this year's Fall Festival already in progress, when I stopped by to get some mums on a sunny 90 degree day in early October.
If the Fall Festival is not on your calendar yet, believe me, you should make room for it!  Homestead Gardens is the place to be … (13 comments)

OK Guys, I found a new Gadget to make Virtual Tours and you have many options to play with it. I just need your opinion about this Test that I did, It was very easy to do it and I had a lot of fun. I made this TEST in 320 x 240, I did not want to spend more resources at this time. I added some music now and some effects. I would like to know what do you think about this new Toy, the good thing, is that you do not have to pay for this service, just you need … (43 comments)

Halloween is Coming Check this out ! - 04:07 PM
This Video was made with the same software that I used to do just some fade, rotation and zoom, few letter effects.  Well, besides that you can make fast and easy virtual tours, it has many features to make power presentations on DVD, CDS and the Web. I do not want that you buy this software or something, just I want to share this power software and for me it is very good investment and really worth it.BTW, on the professional presentations to use a fair quality you need to install Active X plug in and on the Halloween you need … (7 comments)

Get Motivated - Raleigh Seminar October 11th - 07:44 PM
Get Motivated - Raleigh Seminar October 11th
Today I attended the Get Motivated seminar at the RBC center in Raleigh.
Estimates are that there were about 17,000 people in attendence.
I spent half the day at the seminar.
I loved Zig Ziglar - WOW
He is almost 80 years old
Has lost his short term memory
But he was very funny and uplifting.
Overall I am a positive, forward thinker, so for the most part I did not need a pep rally.
The number 1 lesson I have learned. It is important to remain true to your beliefs and standards.

A lot of you are frustated with real estate and looking for something to put your energy into. I have found something that applies to almost everyone, is not a juice or something you have to order every month (not that there is anything wrong with those businesses), is easy and fun to make money at. I have helped A LOT of real estate people get involved. If you are interested, we had over 200 people at the last meeting, we are meeting Thursday night at 5pm at the NABOR building.Thursday, 5pmNaples Area Board of Realtors1455 Pine Ridge RdNaples, FlFREE To … (1 comments)

Real Estate Technology Intelligence in Dribs and Drabs - 12:59 AM
Tech Tuesday at the California Association of REALTORS convention was held yesterday in Anaheim, home of Disneyland. I was up soon after 5 AM to get some work done before heading out for the 75 minute drive. I was there again today but thought I would share some of the intelligence I picked up at the technology portion of the convention.
My goal at these events it always to come away with some tidbits I can use in my business, even if I am not wowed by the speakers or spend every moment there learning, as one tends to do in classes … (34 comments)

Real Estate Blogging - 11:00 AM
I was visiting a broker's open yesterday and when I sat down to eat the food the gracious host had prepared, I was greeted with "Hey Ines, super blogger you!"
I was a bit puzzled because not one person is blogging in my real estate market place. I've invited quite a number of people, but no one sees the benefit. (Personally, I think they are not being smart......and yes it makes me happy, because there's more room for me).
A couple of the other Realtors there told me that they had had an office meeting about blogging and all of a sudden they … (95 comments)

The Mischief Little Boys Can Cause - 09:00 PM
I was talking to  a young mom earlier this week.  She has a small boy and he is like the energizer bunny.  She was complaining how difficult church services were with him.  I told her about some of the things that my son did in church when he was little.  One time we were sitting next to an older lady.  Bucky jerked her wig off and threw it.  Another time he took a bible and threw it and it hit someone two rows up in the back of the head.  Another time he escaped my grip and ran up on stage … (0 comments)

Crystal Coast...Seashell Collecting - 10:37 AM
If you have ever been to the coast, you more than likely have gone home with a pocket full of shells. I have done this since childhood and have a true love of these beautiful gifts of nature.  Every trip offers a new opportunity to find something special. Folks around here often line their finds up along their porch rails or display them in pretty bowls or container baskets. As I glance at my finds, I always capture a memory or two of my Crystal Coast  trip....
