Cool Tool For Anyone - 02:17 AM
I was recently turned on to a cool and FREE new tool.  It was brought to my attention by Rick Deluca.  He is an internationally known speaker.  Any way he turned me on to http://www.jott.com this site offers a transcibing service.  You register and input contacts onto the site then you can call a number provided by jott.  You leave a voice message and jott emails the message transcribed into text along with attaching the voice file to the email.  You can also text people as well or do both.  This is an awesome way to quickly and easily send reminders … (3 comments)

Another Real Estate Agent Murder - 12:20 PM

Does working with shady characters increase your chance of victimhood? This is a touchy subject due to anti-discrimination laws but where do you draw the line. Notice no question mark. Entering a vacant home with a complete stranger after dark is dangerous. Entering a vacant home in the middle of the day is just as dangerous, isn't it.According to the Department of Justice, most crimes occur in the middle of the day in broad daylight as did the murder of Linda S. Stein (second from the left) a noted Broker to the stars and once manager of infamous Punk Rock group the … (5 comments)

Buying Real Estate In New York City - 02:37 PM
New York City is one of the most difficult real estate markets to navigate in the world. Its awe-inspiring size combines with its many idiosyncrasies and unique real estate market dynamics to overwhelm even experienced home buyers.Of the many important details about the New York City real estate market, the co-ops are perhaps the most unique. Though their strict standards for accepting new residents into their buildings have saved New York City a good deal of the turmoil that most of the rest of the country has suffered as result of the subprime mortgage crisis, the process of dealing with a co-op as … (0 comments)

4) Income Verification

Adjustable Rate Mortgages - Refinancing and Buying - 11:37 AM
The San Diego and Chula Vista market place is plagued by a short term vision. We, as home buyers, must keep in mind certain key factors.
FIRST-TIME BUYERS: The only time you may want to have a short term vision is as a first time home buyer. Why? In Southern California we fight just to get into a home with lenders, and resources available to us. Once you're in for 6 months or so the credit options open especially if you have 5% in equity on your property. Buying a home will separate the Rich from the Poor. If you can … (1 comments)

Hello! Hola! Bonjour! Hallo! Ciao! - 08:52 AM
Changing careers can be difficult.
After more than 20 years writing and editing, I made a complete break with newspapers a few short weeks ago when a friend introduced me to a small N.C. company called Listingbook. Funny thing is, my wife and I got hooked on Listingbook when we bought our current house and I never even realized the company was based in our hometown!
I hope to shed some light on this little gem of a company that's rapidly expanding across the country. We're currently in the Triad (N.C.), Fort Myers, West Pasco and Pinellas (Fla.) and Detroit. We'll soon be … (5 comments)

Buyer's Agent & New Construction Homes - 10:29 AM
Your driving around one weekend and just happen to pull into a new construction subdivision.  Maybe you've been thinking about moving for a while, maybe you haven't.  Doesn't matter.  The on-site sales person will gladly allow you to tour the decorated model, show you different floor-plans and answer any questions you may have.  Oh, and they will surely tell you about the special incentives!
Then it happens.  You find one you fall in love with.  The wheels start turning.  You start talking numbers.  You start talking, "what if's."  If your impulsive, you may make a decision and commitment right then and there.  … (4 comments)

Blog?  What's a Blog? Today I am working on my real estate web site and  realtor "web presence" .... and it's like navigating a boat down an a dark alley without a rudder!  What am I doing; what should I be doing?  It's a time consuming mystery.  But, I'll keep you posted as I meander down this alley and see where it takes me.  Sissy

grrrrrrrrrrreat buyers market! - 11:32 AM
I've been in the real estate profession for the best 30 years in sales, so I've experienced selling when the interest rates were 14-16% in the 80's, and we worked around the "due on sale" clauses in the mortgage documents.  This is the steepest fall in prices that I have experienced.  What a great time for buyers to purchase "up", larger homes.  However, they can't have their cake and eat it too. They need to look at the big picture on  how much more money they'll make on the larger homes, once the market turns around, and it will!
I had been a … (1 comments)
