the REVEAL WITH the MUST SEE PICS!!!! - 06:08 PM
For those of you that read my previous blog http://activerain.com/blogsview/253678/When-to-GET-OUT but were unable to see the pictures...my deepest apologies as I admit I'm not the greatest techno person.
I learn something new here every day on AR. Aparrently that just becuase you can see the photos you upload on your own PC, that does not mean everyone else can.
I've since taken the time to repost the pics in a different format in hopes that you all can see them now. I was simply going to add them to my old blog, but then was encouraged to re-blog since most people don't look back … (15 comments)

This is the incredible woman who has Melanoma and was selected for the skin cancer segment of the show.  It really was a must see episode for so many people...and so many different reasons. Hopefully it eases concerns for those who are in need of a colon, breast or skin cancer check up. You really must take care of yourself and get checked.

Picture This. - 01:35 PM
Hi, It's me again with the picture thing.  I held on to an old picture on my business card for so long because I didn't want to accept the fact that I was getting old!  The younger picture of me looked sooo cute.  So I took another picture after several past clients commented that "I have changed companies, but not the picture, and it's been the same for years"  Then another past client teasing me said "when will I be getting my daughter's picture off of my business card!"
Ok, enough was enough!  So I got a new picture, many of you saw it and thank you … (2 comments)

blog comments - 01:19 PM
these comments were inappropriately posted on another blog, they are re-posted here as a corrective measure.
Ok I have received about 25 emails asking me to comment as we are working towards many solutions to staging industry issues. I really feel like I have a lot to say on this subject but yet I feel speechless and not sure what to say.
I just wrote 3 full pages on this but I am going to break it down for this blog on training only. Then you can go to my other post on RESA, why it was formed, what we have accomplished and … (1 comments)

November is Adoption Awareness Month - 10:14 AM
What does adoption and real estate have in common?  Well, nothing really, except Kevin and I are foster and adoptive parents.  So, there is you air tight connection – LOL.
We have two birth children and one adopted son.  Our son's adoption was finalized in November of 2005.  Our youngest daughter will be adopted soon.  The paperwork is with DCFS and all we need is a signature before we get to stand in front of the Judge for the last time.  We are hoping for that to happen before the end of the year.  Keep your fingers crossed.

Consistency is a theme to look for - 08:51 PM
When selecting a real estate agent to work with hopefully the professional you select will have some if not most of these consistent themes. If they do, you have something good working for you.
They discuss real estate and its various facets and complexities in terms you can understandThey add value to your purchase process or the selling stages that you couldn't have done without themThey offer you their opinion, from their experience and trainingThey make you and others always feel comfortable around themThey bring into focus the big picture, of how buying or selling a house meets your goals or solves … (4 comments)

Mineral rights web site for North Texas - 09:00 PM
I learned of a new web site today that was launched to answer homeowners questions about the Barnett Shale and the ins and outs of gas drilling and leases.
It is the Barnett Shale Energy Education Council.
If this affects your area of North Texas, take a look at the site.

What Is an Australian Mortgage? - 02:34 PM
Over the past year a new phenomenon has hit the the United States from the world Down Under.  It's called an Australian Mortgage and refers to a financial strategy that's been used in the Australian and European markets for many years.
The purpose of the Australian Mortgage is to decrease the amount of interest that you pay on a mortgage while increasing the amount of principal that you pay towards the mortgage.  The net effect is that you can own your home free and clear in 1/3 to 1/2 the time it would take to pay of a traditional 30 year mortgage.  … (52 comments)

When people say "I want..." - 01:50 PM
I hear it from other agents ALL the time, that "buyers are liars." While I have had my share (or more) of buyers who tell me they want one thing, then buy something different, I just cannot believe that so many intend to be deceptive. I think, from my own experience, that it can be very difficult to clarify exactly what it is we want. We say things like, "Well, I need 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, and a big yard. And I want a big kitchen, lots of storage, and lots of light." Sure, I can find that for you. And I … (9 comments)

Kids had fun, but I had to take a lot of unsafe candy! - 12:24 PM
Halloween 2007 is officially over, even though I still seem to have a Superman and a Cinderella running around my living room. The kids all had fun and now it is time for the sugar overload to test the parent's patience for the next couple of weeks.
Although, once again this year, much to the kids' disappointment, there was is plenty of dangerous candy that mom and dad had to confiscate. As you can see from the picture below, I think this may have been a record year for "UN-SAFE CANDY" that had to be taken to protect the kids. - … (11 comments)
