Weekend freeway closures and restrictions in Phoenix area; Northbound Loop 101 closed in East Valley

"Louie Louie" was originally written by Richard Berry in 1955 as a calypso-style ballad, that told in simple verse-chorus form, the story of a Jamaican sailor returning to the island to see his lady. The singer brags of his "fine little girl" to Louie, presumably a bartender.
A jubilant rock and roll version, with little trace of the song's calypso origins, was recorded in 1963 by The Kingsmen and became a national and international hit.

One of the members of the Compuserve Photography Forum posted this link a few days ago, and I wanted to pass it along.
The photographer is Michael Yon.  His mission is telling soldiers' stories from the frontlines in Iraq and Afghanistan.

I just received an email from Zillow letting me know that I could now answer questions about my listings that someone may have OR about listings I know about in my area. 
Since I hadn't been out to Zillow in a long time, I thought I would go check this out just to see what people are asking.  I was quite amused.  It seems like one particular person has way too much time on their hands and has posed some "interesting questions" they'd like answers to about a home.

Novemeber, 2007Thomas Koch has been elected Mayor of the City of Quincy beating 3 term incumbant Mayor William Phelan by over 2000 votes. Although he will not take over the Mayor's office until January 7th, he is already busy laying out his agenda. Quincy is in the process of building a new High School and a Senior Center, as well as the Quincy Center Concourse road. With the holidays upon us, we're all sharing recipes for holiday goodies, planning our Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day dinners, and basically immersing ourselves in visions of sugarplums.

Which is better?  A home warranty or a home inspection.  It probably depends on the condition and age of the home.  More and more I think it is best to have a general contractor or a reliable handyman inspect the property and a home warranty to protect against unexpected bills that could occur during the first year after the purchase.  When listing a home I also think it would be a good idea for a handyman make a quick once over on the home.  Any obviou needed repairs such a  broken window seals, broken spicots, cracked window should probably be repaired prior to a … (0 comments)

Will home staging work?   I just recently received a full price offer on my second property that was staged by a home staging professional.  The biggest thing in the staging was the removal of some wallpaper, and the positiong of carpets to cover the floors on the lower level that was completely tiled.  I beleive minor home staging aimed at a homes wekest areas ofen will pay of several times what the stging improvements cost.
