I'm working with a Canadian couple looking to purchase a summer residence in Michigan. When looking online, I was able to see references to non residents having to place the property Title with a holding company. Does anyone have experience working with Canadians purchasing property in Michigan? I want to research this so I can offer them some choices. thanks in advance. (2 comments)

The Wenatchee Condo Series - 12:15 AM
Over on my Wenatchee condos blog, I am doing a series on the various condo developments and conversions currently selling in the local market. We have a wide range of units available in all sizes, prices, and levels of luxury. Answering the call for affordable housing, there is a good inventory of condos under $150,000. For those on a less restrictive budget, there is plenty to choose from in the higher end as well.So far, I have covered: Stoney Court, and Sunterra in Wenatchee and The River Street Condos in Cashmere, WA. Still to come in the series will be Aspen (0 comments)
Made you look, right? There are so many things that are important to your blog becoming a success. And you want to get readership, right? Do you write to those members on Active Rain? Try to get popular and to climb the ranks on AR? Or do you write to the consumer. Just some things to ponder. A catchy title is important. What if the blog is about boring details relating to the mortgage industry. Get creative from time to time. Here is an example of being creative in a blog.Mortgages : How would you like your mortgage served to (13 comments)

There Is A Lion in All Of Us - 12:38 AM
In todays market the media is full of doom and gloom about the Real Estate industry. Everytime you turn the news on that is all everyone hears. I am Coming Out of The Closet, I Admit It! I Got a Real Estate Car Wrap! - 11:53 PM
Prior to getting my car and a wrap I struggled with first of all, what kind of car. Second, I struggled with the negative opinions I have read over the Internet and read many people blogging and making fun of them. I first thought I would get a Hummer and thought to my self that would be cool. So I started shopping for them. I must admit I really love the Hummer. Then a thought came over me that there was no way I am going to wrap a 60k plus auto. Then one night it came over me to get a (34 comments)
Bear Mountain Upstate New York - 07:26 PM
Two weekends ago I took a trip to 'upstate' New York, Bear Mountain area with friends. We drove north on the Garden State Parkway and then onto the Palisades Interstate Parkway and a little over an hour we're there. Who knew? Bear Mountain area is the weekend getaway for the city. First night there we got all dressed up and drove to Main Street in Nyack, and found a collection of restaurants and bistros not unlike any eclectic restaurant I could find in Manhattan or Staten island. (known for some of the best restaurants) The restaurant chosen Vertigo, there is a raw bar and three bars for drinks on (5 comments)
How I Survived Cancer.... - 06:37 AM
After a what seemed to be a routine tonsilitis operation, I could not understand why the Doctor had called me back to his office so soon. Little did I know that I was in for the surprise of my life. Yet, today, I can still hear the words echoing out of the doctor's mouth. "Steve, You have cancer of the throat, and 8 jellybean sized cancerous tumors in your lymph nodes in your neck" cut and dry. Just Like THAT he uttered these words: You have a year left to live. That is when the tears started to flow and the reality set (0 comments)
Housing prices expected to sink to 2004 levels - 07:39 AM
Las Vegas housing analyst Dennis Smith says it may be 2004 all over again for the valley's housing market. One impetus for the decline, Smith says, is when banks start to liquidate their growing inventory of foreclosed-upon homes. If they base prices on the market demand instead of what the notes are, that will lower prices even further, he says. Resales are down nearly 39 percent during 2007, and Smith says that while that market searches for its bottom there may be some encouraging signs when it comes to lending. This is causing the builders to lower prices at an accelerated rate (3 comments)

Advice Needed on Staging a Lake Cottage for RENTAL - 08:05 PM
This is an unusual request and if I'm posting in the wrong group let me know. We're buying a lake cottage to use personally and as a rental. It's a great little 2 bedroom ranch style house but it's 80's dated. The living room and family room need the most work. I don't know if there are hardwood floors beneath the carpet. It will be unfurnished when we buy it so we'll have a clean slate to work with. We want it to be cozy (with a lake-Americana-patriotic theme???) and take staged photo's that will be appealing to someone looking to rent at the lake. We know we're (16 comments)
