I know, I know.  I'm outcasted (new word), ditched, left out in the cold of the blogging world (not really, it's 70 degrees here).  I haven't blogged in a month.  Gasp.  No!  The filth coming out of my mouth (I mean keyboard)!  Yes, it is true, and after all that talk of consistency.  I should be ashamed of myself. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Public School Calendar 2008-2009 - 09:07 AM
Ah, planning ahead!  Seems like we're wishing our lives away sometimes. 
But in answer to the questions I'm receiving on a daily basis from families who are planning a relocation or transfer into the Charlotte NC area, here's the school calendar for 2008-2009 for Charlotte-Mecklenburg public schools! 
Moving with children is hard in and of itself-and there's an added degree of difficulty when the children need to finish a grade in one district and start the next here in Charlotte NC schools!  Added to that, there are separate school districts in and around Charlotte NC that you'll want to consider when … (5 comments)

To My knowledge, I did it without gaming the system.
I have read at least 5 times as many posts as I have comments on....but wait...if the post had a pile of comments already, I did not always feel right in saying Ditto, or great post...I would generally try to leave a comment that was at least relevant to me.

Welcome to Active Rain.. This place is cool. There are rules. Some rules are normal, keep it nice, don't blog mean things about others.
Most are common sense. Don't cuss in writing, cuss out loud, spit in the spitoon, just don't be nasty in writing.
Comment on other blog post you find interesting. Leave a nice comment, you get noticed eventually.
Write your own material. There are special police in here for finding out if you are plagiarizing your material from somewhere else. This is blogging for dollars, not cut and paste class

I NEED HELP! - 08:59 AM
Yesterday while driving home, I heard about a program that is a voice activated text messaging center.  You set it up with your computer.  Call a number and you can talk into your cell phone, tell it where you want it sent and it will send it for you.  The best part is that it is free.

Lately, I have had quite a few people ask me if this is a good time to buy or should they wait a little longer.  Most of these folks are from out of state, and in some cases out the country.  Everyone seems to have a least a general knowledge of the state of the real estate market.  We all know that the last couple of years have been tough to say the least.  Anyone can spin the message anyway they want, positive or negative.  I have to tread a fine line as a Realtor, because on one hand if I … (2 comments)

Desert Ridge November 2007 Market Report - 04:09 PM
There were 7 homes sold in Desert Ridge in November 2007, with an average listing price of $769,842 and an average sale price of $719,642.  Sale prices were 93% of list prices.  Sold Price per Square Foot was $204.79.  The range of sold homes was $343,000 to 755,000.  As of December 1, there are 8 pending or contingent homes under contract.  As of the first week of December, there are 156 active listings with an average list price of $712,725 and average list $/sq.ft. of $233.95

I was at a local real estate seminar yesterday, and I heard a few people talking about the weather.  I know that many parts of the country have been slammed lately, so, getting some rain here in otherwise sunny AZ shouldn't really rate.  We are in a drought here, and up until last week we only had about 1/4 of our usual annual rainfall (the total is less than 8" annually!).  So here I was listening to a couple of people complain that it has been raining on and off for the last 3 days.  WOW.  One said, "I could move … (0 comments)

Is someone looking at your garbage? - 06:28 PM
I was just speaking with my neighbor in Rocklin and learn that for the last couple of weeks, that he noticed that his garbage can lid was up and one bag was taken out.  My other neighbor mentioned that they left their car unlock and noticed that papers were moved around and the couple of dollars that was in the console was gone.
The concern here is that you need to protect your property.  Don't take your garbage out to the curb until the morning the trash is picked up.  Is it worth having someone get your personal information and ruin your … (0 comments)
