Pensacola Real Estate Markets of Christmas past - 10:02 PM
Not actually Christmas, but more like a few weeks before Christmas. After doing my weekly market update, I had the idea of looking back over the last 7 years to see how the Pensacola real estate market from year 2000 up until present compared. The results show a dismal drop in sales this year vs all the other years listed.
If you are interested in the numbers, check out the post at Pensacola Real Estate News.

Checking on the check - 10:34 PM
Do you have a tenant who receives monthly assistance from a government agency (social security, welfare, disability) and they claim their check is late. If, so do you believe that their story can be collaborated with the public assistance office? Unfortunately the answer is no. People who receive assistance have an even higher level of financial privacy than you or I do.

One of Us Needs Help - 03:23 PM

One of the definitions of a community is that the members care more for each other than they have to.  Even with all the .... let's call it "stuff" I've seen around here lately, I still believe in us and our ability to help each other with our careers.
Even more than that, I believe that we can offer a great help to each other personally.  My friend Melissa Grant had a fire at her house.  She and her family are living in a hotel right now.  The holidays are not what they hoped and imagined.  While I enjoy my warm, decorated … (26 comments)

Christmas Virus Alert - 06:45 PM
Thought I would share an alert that I received today about a holiday computer virus going around.  If you receive an e-mail called "Merry Christmas" do not open it and shut down your computer immediately.  It is a virus that opens as an Open Log Fire and will burn the whole hard disk in your computer.  This virus was discovered by McAfee and there is no repair for it. … (2 comments)

Learn to frown, even if you are Happy! - 09:18 AM
The Here....The Now.
While I would love to write a masterpiece of magnificient proportions that helps to change the very Industry that helps give me a roof over my head, I'm in 'Quip' Mode.  What is 'Quip' Mode?  It's parsimonious, short & sweet and to the point.  It's not worth 200 points but it looks appealing in retrospect.  Especially considering the (Next Big Thing) will be having your Blog stand in your honor as you lay in your death.  Attention spans lack, so let's get moving!
As far as the title above me, it's very simple.  No matter what shape you are in, yet … (31 comments)

I don't care if you spell my name wrong... - 06:32 AM
I am not sure if it is a good thing or a bad thing, but I was blessed with a unusual name with an unusual spelling.  I get called ANNETTE, JEANETTE, LYNETTE, sometimes even worse and I always have to spell my.  name.  What was my mother thinking when she named me?
For years growing up I hated my name.  I got called "Nanny the Nanny Goat"  I really hate being called "NAN" I guess over the years have become use to it.  I can always tell how well you really know me if you can pronounce my name correctly or spell it … (25 comments)
