Tuesday, The Day After - 02:54 PM
Hello All,
Well, yesterday was not too good on Wallstreet was it?  Wow.
Back on Topic!
Today has been going very well, I had a very nice meeting with another member of our online community, and lets just say I was very impressed.  Now, I can't give you his name, because that would be doing so without his consent (and besides this blog is about what is going on in my head, not to point people in any given direction).  I hope that we can both benefit from the relationship that begun this morning.
On to another topic.  Got a quick … (1 comments)

REALTOR Question - What would motivate you to refer a Stager to your client? - 09:08 AM
I'd really love to know what motivates a Realtor to want to refer a stager to a client or not.  I would love to understand the factors you use to determine if the property is in need of staging or not.  Some thoughts I came up with and it can be a YES or NO type of answer are as follows;
If you had simple, direct information to present to a client at your listing presentation on how staging can benefit the client's property would you use it?How would you like to see a Stager approach you to talk about staging - at an … (6 comments)

Brand New Blog, I am excited! - 02:42 PM
Wow, check me out in my brand new blog.
Yep, this is it...my first blog. I am going to use this particular blog as an opportunity to preface all future blogs, of which there will be many I hope.
A few things you should know about me first...
•1.        I can't write. I will do my best but the number 1 remark on all my school report cards concerning spelling and grammer was "capable of doing better." Now, I will be creating these in Word and copy/pasting over for spelling and grammer help but Word apparently doesn't take into account the context...Like hear or here.

When a Seller expects too much...... - 07:14 PM
When a Seller expects too much
by Greg Perry
In late 2005, I had a listing appointment with Mr. and Mrs. P.  They lived on a very nice golf course in South Snohomish County.  In our initial meeting, I gained immediate and deep rapport with Mr. and Mrs. P.  In fact, we were all in love with each other......that is until my second meeting with them when I shared my market conclusions.  You see, Mr. and Mrs. P thought their 3400 s/f home on that golf course was worth a million dollars.  I thought their market range, based on data and condition, would … (13 comments)

Vent About Sheriffs Sale Deeds - 01:03 PM
I really need to take a minute and vent about the excuse for a county that I live in.  Evidently the county takes 4-6 months to issues the bill from the Sheriff's sale.  Which my understanding is much longer than many if not most other counties around the country.  This has created several infuriating problems when trying to purchase one of these properties from the bank that bought it back at the auction.
Problem #1
Banks will place these properties on the market before they have obtained the deed.  You can see the problem with this in that they are trying to sell … (2 comments)

Home Staging Is About Selling a House - 09:11 AM
As you know, your client's home becomes a house as soon as you put it up for sale. It is a product.  Staging your client's property gives a more competitive edge in today's market by transforming it into a marketable product. A staged property helps you sell their investment for top dollar and is the first line of defense over lowering the price. Do not let them settle for less at the closing table simply because they did not understand the value of staging or did not want to take the time or spend the money to do it properly. As … (0 comments)

Home Staging Appeals To the Buyer - 02:58 PM
In this world of busy buyers, a property has to be staged to appeal to the their imagination. They want to be able to look at a home and know that they can live there. They want to know that their furniture will fit. They want to know that everything is in “move in” condition. That is why staging is so important. It allows buyers to imagine themselves living in a home with their stuff, not with your client's stuff.
