Student Built Home Program - 08:49 AM

This home is just being completed in Northwest Davenport, Iowa by a great group of youth from the Davenport and North Scott Schools.  There was a very nice reception May 23 for these students and their families where $10,000 of scholarships were handed out!
This program was started in 1974 and students have built about 20 homes over the years!  The Greater Davenport Board of Realtors(R) continues to be a proud sponsor of this event and welcomes all volunteers to get involved by calling the Program Coordinator at (563) 386-6030.
MANY  HANDS  MAKE  LESS  WORK !!! Lucky :)

Is there a "formula" for this group?  It is hard to tell what can or cannot be posted here.  I'm in a Rising Stars class through my office so, of course, the name appealed to me.  Does anything go here?  I wouldn't think so but there is some variety so I just wanted to check.  Please let me know the intent of this group.  Thanks!

Statistics show that the average working woman speaks approximately 20,000 words per day(men 7,000).  The words that you use to fill this "quota" can make or break the perception that others will have of you.  I have read a few quality posts on here that discuss the real estate terminology that we use on a daily basis.  But what other words fill your day?

2005 earnings because of accounting errors, a disclosure that might add fuel to federal criminal and regulatory
examinations into the company.
The errors concerned losses on repurchased loans, and how New Century valued other mortgage-related assets,
the company said in a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filing.  This is sub prime mess !

As some may have noticed, I've been absent from AR for several weeks. Truth is, life just got in the way. My mom has been hospitalized for four weeks now and my wife, Amie, and I are in the throes of purchasing a townhouse. That, plus the other routine stuff life is made of, has captured most of my time and attention. 
But, as Arnold put it, "I'll be back!" (Hopefully, starting next week. We'll see.)

Ok, I went and added a a link from activerain to a webpage.  I then put the link in the box where I got the link.  They say they will review it in 48 hours.  It has been over 72 hours.  Is this a normal thing? 
I was wondering if I need to resubmit the link where I but the banner link. 
I am waiting to ad more to my other pages until I know it works.

New Lead from Active Rain. wow - 11:46 PM
Today at 1:15 my cell phone rings when I was driving my car so I did not answer it.  When I looked on my phone the person did not leave a message either.
I pulled into my friends hotdog stand in Schaumburg and before I went in I figured I would call the number. 
Well guess what.  Yep, the person did not answer.  So I left a message with my name and someone called from that number. 
Four minutes later my cell phone rings.  Then this woman tells me who she is and that she was looking for a loan.  As it … (1 comments)

In the interest of amassing bogging points without ever really saying much other than demonstrating a marvelous grasp of the obvious, I am writing to wish all of you a great holiday weekend and to allow some of my thoughts to ramble out into the public sphere. At least I am honest about it. And I remind myself that the origin of "blog" was a personal log, like a diary of sorts, so I believe that this kind of thing is permitted.

  MAY MARKET REPORT NOT MEETING EXPECTATIONS
The first 25 days of May, 2007 for Stone and Barry County  real estate sales do not reflect any vigorous activity.  Stone County, which includes Kimberling City, Reeds Spring, Lampe and portions of Shell Knob, had 754  home listings, including 207 condominiums.  There are 83 pending sales.Barry County in the Shell Knob area had 870 total  residential listings with 7 pending sales.This is not the strong spring market the area had hoped for in the lake/resort location.  BEWARE OF THE BEAR
Can you imagine waking up from a three month nap?  No coffee.  You are hungry and  the fridge is empty!   That is how bears feel in June.    So they go on the prowl for food, and nothing else.  No nonsense.

Last November I had a rare sighting on the edge of Shell Knob, of a black bear and her two cubs.  It was Thanksgiving, but unusually warm.  The bears were probably stoking up for the winter hibernation.
