Inshore: Reds have been biting Gulp SW, topwater lures like Frenzy, live menhaden and menhaden chunks. We have caught them in the waterway and the creeks. Flounder fishing is still inexplicably slow, but hopefully we blast off soon. A few trout are being caught in the river.
When I first joined Activerain I had no idea exactly what the purpose was for and once I finished joining I said..."ok what next?" That's right I had no direction and had nobody to talk to so I basically went on my own and finally figured it out. But what about new members that really are looking to get more involved and are trying find where they fit in? 
Hi, found this group through another blog in AR. The group description is too good, it really describes how I felt when groups got introduced into AR. Took me forever to join some of them. I'm getting better though, I even founded one! Don't really like to talk too much. Read mostly. Wish someone would award points for blog-reading. :-)
I attended an Open House last weekend .... and was followed around by an agent offering almonds (might have offered a few too many times). It was a nice touch - however - it made me start wondering what a more appropriate Open House snack might be (as it was hot here last weekend and the almonds would have just made me very thirsty.) I have put together a couple of my favorite recipes that are easy to put together and would be a big hit to Open Housers! Enjoy.
I received an email today from the National Bone Marrow Donation Program. Seems that I am close to a match for a 45 year old male with leukemia. I am going for testing on Monday in hopes that I am a match and can help this person and their family. It is easy to sign up for the program. One of the many, many things that I'm curious about is the Blog Subscription function. It's easy for us to see what blogs we have subscribed to, but we don't know who, or how many Active Rainers, have subscribed to our blog.

When reviewing an application for a rental I use a service for back ground checks and credit repost as well as rental reports. I am looking for a new service and I came across Allied Credit, http://www.alliedcreditsystems.com , looking for your remarks, I have used a service that called NTN, National Tenant Network, and Tenant Tracker. Do you use one of these or another one and what have been your results?

I have been using my Real Estate Shows before and after show as a sidebar widget for some time now. It plays in mini version right in my sidebar on the right hand side of my blog under my picture. Everyone says "get a buyer's rep agreement." To that I say, they are a waste of paper. Why? Because you have absolutely NO WAY of knowing if that person went out and bought a house with another Realtor!! The good, kind, honest people....you don't need a buyer's rep agreement with those people anyway!! They are going to work with you and no paper is going to change that. The other type that hop from Realtor to Realtor for some unknown reason.....they aren't going to honor that B.R.A.! Call me a little strange, but I think the current reduction in prices is a wonderful way to introduce first time home-buyers back into the Housing Market. Having lived through 16% interest, housing price rises and falls, market gains and losses, lowest interest rates in modern history, and now the "adjustment". I see the possibility here for consumers to gain some weight in the housing market. As inventory rises, and prices decline, the consumers may feel more empowered and less starved as their ability to purchase property is fed by marcket changes.
