Realtors and Home Stagers Partnering to Sell - 08:18 PM
I know that there have been many discussions here on AR about Home Staging and why Realtors should use it.  One of the points that Stagers like to make is that just about every house can benefit from Staging in some capacity because it is difficult for Sellers to look at their own home with "Buyers' eyes".  Further, we like to point out the advantages for Realtors who 'partner' with Home Stagers on their listings.

4th of July Celebration & Fireworks in Miami Shores, FL - 09:34 AM
Miami Shores puts together a really great 4th of July event every year.  All the residents look forward to the activities and the fireworks display.  The Village of Miami Shores hosts an Independence Day celebration at The Miami Shores Country Club Driving Range.  There's live music, food, activities for the kids including bounce houses, and it all starts at 6:00 PM.

In the Real Estate Industry we get comfortable with our "lingo" and with the every day dealings that seem so normal to us and forget to think about the regular consumer that does not deal with real estate issues all the time.

Summer Rentals: It’s Not Too Late - 01:25 PM
According to the real estate article Summer Rentals: It's Not Too Late on NYTimes.com,  real estate agents say "it's a renter's market this summer in many prime vacation spots."  Furthermore, the summer rental market has eased because of greater inventory and new later booking trends.  Even popular vacation spots still have avaliabilty.  And, even in exclusive areas like the Hamptons, late-summer rentals are still on the market.

I've had a really long week.  So long that I haven't commented on any posts in the last 2 days, much less post something of my own.
I just checked Active Rain to see what I've been missing.  Looks like a lot!  I can always count on some good stuff going on here.  That's what makes this place so valuable.

Have you ever wished for an effective way to leave reminders for yourself on the fly? Most people's reminder notes are a mix of small pieces of paper (always get lost) or notes on a file or an organizer (as time passes you forget they are even there). 4th of July is coming up quick...how will you be celebrating this year? 
Here is a List of Events, by the Burlington County Times
For my family and I, the parade in Riverton has become our tradition.  In the past we used to head out to the fireworks in Medford, but 2 young kids later we haven't attended in years.  I'm guess that'll be in our future again shortly.

Little did anyone know that I've been working on something.  I was born with a genetic defect that renders me useless on a golf course.  There, I said it.  I suck at golf.  I made up my mind to overcome my disability
Oddly, I won a round of golf at a local course.  Tiburon - The Ritz Carlton, Naples.  This isn't the Ritz on the Gulf, it's the Ritz - WCI Communities Development with the golf course designed by Greg Norman.  By the way, Tiburon is Spanish for Shark.  Get it?

Don't Pretend To Be The Expert, BE One Like Fellow Rainer Mitchell Hall - The Media Just Might Find You - 07:11 PM
He is too much of a gentleman to hype himself but, the  media has found Mitchell not once but three times since I have known him. He is really a good example of how to be the 'go to' person for the media, consumers and other professionals...heck, even the Korean Government! More on that later.

I've been sitting here thinking about what I can write about integrity. How integrity effects our life, how the lack of integrity effects our life. How does integrity begin? And what causes it to fail in our lives and the lives of others. As Realtors we sit in Ethic classes so we can be instructed how to do the right thing. But weren't we born to be honest? I wrote this on Saturday but did not post it until now so if you were confused of the dates this is the reason. 
Today I had a really enjoyable day. This past week since I returned from one of the ActiveRain Gatherings...my phone was ringinig and agents wanted to show some my listings and was in the process of finalizing a lease I was getting of my rental properties in Weston and it was my first real lead from Activerain! In May, total number homes sold slightly decreased over April while average and median sales both declined.  As a silver lining, the average days on market decreased by almost 30%, likely as an indication that decreased priced are producing a shorter time from listing to finalized sale.
