LOUIS REAL ESTATE TRANSACTIONSby Harry Morrell, ASHI certified home inspector If you are buying a house that has not been inspected or treated for termites in the past month, a termite inspection is highly recommended. Gold Canyon New Listing - 05:10 PM
Great ways to make your listings pop out on the MLS. I have seen the "collage" before and just loved it. When I search for properties for buyers and come across those listings in the MLS I instantly know who is the listing agent. I think it really looks professional and have since implemented it into my process. I have come across some agents that absolutely do not like this idea and think it is too busy or that the pictures are too small. I say the best way to stand out the better and a little creativity never hurt anyone. (0 comments)

Can Zillow annihilate Realtors? - 06:03 AM
I have just read the post by Greg Swann, BloodhoundRealty.com Zillow.com to launch Realtor rating system Greg is a superb writer, so it doesn’t matter how bad news he might be writing about, you will enjoy Greg’s rhetoric more than your will fear its possible meaning. Yes, I don’t see Zillow to be conscious benefactor of Realtors, however I don’t believe that it is in Zillow’s, Trulia’s or Redfin’s power to damage Realtors in a long run. Only we can achieve this! But joking on the side – as I pointed out in my recent post Who Started the Real Estate (16 comments)

RealEstateSpace.tv to Replace ActiveRain? - 05:04 PM
Of course my headline was meant to get your attention. What I really wanted was just to see if anybody knows anything about RealEstateSpace.tv. We are receiving email promotions trying to get us to sign up. RealEstateSpace.tv is promoting itself as follows: "[T]here has not been one solely designated real estate networking site completely dedicated to all parties involved in the real estate industry--including agents, consumers, investors, builders, lenders, developers, appraisers, brokers, and more." And it's RealEstateSpace.tv that intends to fill this gap. But don't they just sound like an ActiveRain clone? I looked over RealEstateSpace.tv's site and there doesn't seem to be many takers yet. We love to see posts about how to make things, crafty ideas, where to buy things inexpensivley, before & after photos, colors, SALES, ideas for other uses of common items... you get it :) Posts about any type of marketing, any soliciting, general idea topics, photography, etc., should all be posted to the appropriate boards for those topics. Thanks so much Stagers! (2 comments)
Congratulation to Active Rain! - 07:36 AM
Congratulations to those geniuses that founded Active Rain a year ago! It's hard to believe that in one year, something could have come this far and have over 37,000 members! Thank you for "making it happen"! This site has been a tremendous help to me. I have asked questions and gotten such good answers, read other's posts and learned from them, and just in general been blessed. (7 comments)
I pray that clients will see Jesus in me and surprisingly sometimes they say they do! - 08:40 PM
I had an elderly lady call me this week. She wanted me to come by her home early one morning and visit with her about selling her home. I had other appointments at that time but she explained to me the situation: She had purchased her home a few years ago and finally had it just like she wanted it. Then she became ill and now she needs to sell it and move closer to other family. That particular day in the am was going to be the time that a family member was going to be there to help handle the (12 comments)

Even MORE uses for the iPhone - 10:12 AM
If you saw my other blog about the iPhone posted here, you should love watching this video! I originally didn't think very highly of the over-hyped up little piece of gadgetry. However, I might be forced to rethink my opinion after viewing this informative video on the additional uses of the phone that I never knew about. Have a great Thursday everyone! The IPhone
Open House Today! - 09:12 AM
When people consider buying a home, oftentimes they start by noticing "Open House Today" signs. An Open House gives potential buyers a chance to look at homes they find attractive and that are in desirable neighborhoods. While walking through the rooms, they learn what amenities they find attractive in the house and what houses in the area have to offer. Often if they like the house, they may stroll the neighborhood, getting a feel of things. Open House shoppers can learn a lot about current home values. Sometimes they may get "sticker shock" when they learn a home's price; while (0 comments)
