Hi Everyone,
I couldn't pass up the opportunity to mention that Dr. John's interview on the 11+1 Characters was one of the runner-ups in the latest Carnival of Real Estate Issues #56.  His original interview of the 12 Characters was a Featured Post on Active Rain.  I guess it goes to show you we are an interesting bunch of characters roaming around the rain forest, and we have to take ourselves lightly at times lest we drown in our own showers!

My way or the highway attitudes, buyers and sellers - 07:18 PM
Buyers and Sellers need to have an agents direction, to keep focus on the goal.  In business dealings keeping focused can make the difference in success or failure.  Your buyers and sellers have the same issues.
Recently an offer came in from a buyer.  The buyer's agent allowed the buyer to over extend on the offer to the point that they had no room, the offer was literally being funded by the seller for closing costs, along with a large sell price discount.  Asking for closing costs has become routine and is no big deal...except $8400.00 along with a another $16,000 on … (10 comments)

Mille Sapore Mediterranean Cuisine Restaurant in Fort Myers, Florida Summerlin Rd. - 09:22 PM
 Mille Sapore Mediterranean Cuisine
My husband and I recently tried a rare gem of a wonderful restaurant in Fort Myers that has received rave reviews from Gulf Shore Life.  Located near Health Park Hospital / Medical Center on Summerlin Rd.  Sapores Mediterranean Cusine is on your way to Sanibel Island, however you might not noticed it tucked away next to the Publix Shopping Center on the corner of Summerlin and Winkler Ave.
The food is an eclectic blend of several different Mediterranean Cuisines.  Sapore serves everything from  Italy, Spain, Portugal and France, Lebanon, Tunisia, Morocco and Greece.  I enjoyed the grilled lamb with couscous, stuffed … (6 comments)

Do you know about League City's Monster Garages (with a great home too)? - 09:30 PM
I feel like I'm spilling the beans on a well kept secret.
Nestled in the heart of League City, are homes by a homebuilder that sell like wildfire, yet require virtually no advertising.
How can that be?
When you've got a great product and lots of demand for it, you can rely solely on word-of-mouth advertising.
This Friendswood based builder has been building quality homes with awesome garages for quite some time, primarily in Friendswood, League City, Pearland and South Houston. Tailor-made for the family that has a lot of interests such as boating, woodworking or other hobbies. You may even have a … (1 comments)

Is There a Right Way to Do Things? - 08:45 AM
I recently rented a house to a very nice young couple.  As I went through the process with the listing agent one thing after another happened  that in my expereince raised all sorts of red flags...As we went through the negotiation of the price, the lease, etc. I was rather surprised by the suggestions that this agent came up with.  This agent is a complete gentleman who has been in the business for under five years successfully. So I began to wonder if there is a right way to do things, or were my reactions to his suggestions just my way … (2 comments)

Let's give her a warm welcome!

Security? - 12:09 PM
You should have all gotten an email from me yesterday regarding a request for membership to the group.  I am thinking that we need to hide ourselves a little better.
I have seen other private groups and have no idea what they are about because they give no inkling to their purpose.  I think we should go that route, if it is possible to edit these things.  Obviously some are searching for new staging groups (though I couldn't fathom why, when there are more than enough here already) and stumbling upon our title.  I have to admit that if I did not … (5 comments)

The Verde Canyon is accessible only by rail and is home to America's national symbol, the majestic bald eagle. Daytime trips on the Verde Valley Railroad are best for viewing the eagles.
