Did You Eat Your Black Eyed Peas Today????? - 06:47 PM
The New Year is off and going.  I spent New Years Eve with my broker and their family.  It was a very pleasant evening.  They bought a skating rink that is closed down.  We all met there and enjoyed lots of food and fellowship.  My husband and my broker are both musicians, so they provided the music.  There was skates still on site and my son had a great time skating.  Imagine a group of adults sitting in the middle of a skating rink listening to a couple of  guys pick and sing with my son skating circles around us.  I am … (5 comments)

Failure x1000 - 08:35 PM
I've been thinking a lot about failure the last couple of days. For most that might seem a little negative, but I haven't been depressed. Actually, I've been very inspired and energized. I've looked back at the failures I had in 2007, what I learned and where I've gotten because of those lessons.
There is a tendency for students to put their trainer on a pedestal and imagine them doing everything perfectly. If you've done that to me, take me down please. And take all of those supposed "top producers" in your company down too.

I was reading a book a few weeks ago, and the author mentioned something that really stuck with me.  I've always heard that we should break down our goals into steps.  Do you want one listing?  You'll need to go on three listing appointments.  Want three appointments?  You'll need nine warm leads.  Want nine warm leads?  You get the idea.We're supposed to name what we want and work back from there to see how much lead generation we need to do.For whatever reason, I've never been able to hold that "formula for success" in my mind.  I understand the idea, but … (7 comments)
