INCENTIVES WORK - 04:32 PM
Greetings!!!
Real Estate Agents, Property Managers, National Builders - Everybody wants to increase sales, close more deals and generate more leads to grow their business.    CALL TO ACTION TRAVEL INCENTIVES can show you or your company how to properly and successfully increase sales, increase referral business and motivate employees by implementing COMPLIMENTARY VACATION INCENTIVES as a part of your marketing efforts. Just imagine asking a client, "By the way, would you mind if I sent you on a 5-day cruise to the Grand Bahamas just for doing business with my company?" Or, offer the travel certificates as an incentive to refer others to your company. Imagine … (2 comments)

Finding Time to SOI - 03:54 AM
"Oh, Jennifer, that sounds nice, but I don't have time to create a contact database/ send out personal emails/ make social phone calls/ take my friends to lunch!"
I've always pooh-poohed that excuse - reminding the agent that they have plenty of time to mail out farming postcards, then to fret that the postcards aren't working... that they have time to sit open houses (for others) hoping to attract an unrepresented buyer, then fret that no one shows up... that they have time to leave 100 messages for expired listings, then fret that no one calls them back (and how they … (4 comments)

NEED YOUR INPUT ASAP! - 07:59 AM
Great news! I'm scheduling several speakers for the Reality Show - we'll be having weekly teleseminars with guest speakers on topics such as Choosing a Contact Management System, Creating a Business Plan and Using the Law of Attraction in your Real Estate Business.
My question to you...
What day of the week is best for this? Are Tuesdays and Wednesdays still office meeting days? Are Mondays too crazy? Are you brain dead by Friday?
The seminars will be recorded and available throughout the program, but it's always more fun to have live audience participation.
PLEASE GET BACK TO ME with your thoughts!
p.s. if there … (17 comments)

Safety Alert NH REALTORS - 08:58 PM
This came out today from the Greater Manchester Nashua Board of REALTORS and it is worth reprinting every word.
Be careful out there...REALTORS are prime pickings for evil doers. Think about it, we do everything that  mama taught us not to do.
Everyday we:
1. Talk to Strangers
2. Put them in our cars or
3. Meet them at empty homes
Everyone knows that we encourage our sellers to vacate a property before showing...so even occupied homes are "vacant" during showings.
Everyone knows that REALTORS need money, the market has been tough...don't become a statistic.  Don't let the need to make a sale, let you through caution out the window.

Lansing Area 4th Quarter Real Estate Market Update - 04:12 AM
Well, here's the 4th Quarter results for the greater Lansing real estate market, although it's history now, it does give us some solid facts and figures to measure our upcoming spring market for 2008. Note, that the report breaks down each community so you can get facts and figures on Grand Ledge, Holt, Okemos, Dewitt and all the other areas of Lansing. I have also included the NAR update on homeownership. The reason for this is because there has never been a better time to buy a house then right now. Interest rates are at new lows, there is plenty of … (0 comments)

It's Already Been Inspected, It'll Be Easy For You - 10:53 PM
That's what I was told by the listing agent when I began my inspection.  She stated the house had fallen out of escrow.  She also told me the only item pointed out was the water heater platform.  I smiled and said, "That's great, it makes my job easier," but what I really wanted to say was, "I bet I find some pretty good defects."  But I was on good behavior and held my tongue.
Here's some of the items I found on this previously inspected house.
It's kind of hard to tell by the picture, but the patio cover was attached to the fascia … (6 comments)

On a Wing and a Prayer -- Walking the Talk and a Thank You Maam! - 08:55 AM
Eyes closed, I prayed aloud: "Father God, I pray in the name of Jesus you hold us up.  I pray that you place two angels on each of our wings to steady us and guide us through this storm.  Thank you, I pray in Jesus'name."
Just then the plane dropped -- 500, a thousand feet?  Who knows, but it was a lot longer than a plunge down Splash Mountain.
Sarah, my daughter was telling me to calm down, and the more she spoke the louder I prayed.  "Father God protect us.  I pray in the name of Jesus, place strength … (8 comments)

Obedient Husbands Who Smell Gas Must Pray - 11:28 PM
Here I am, and let's talk COLD COLD COLD, and STORM STORM STORM.  (Story from Dr. John)
Excuse me I am an obedient and supportive husband, but this was a tough one today.  I have to share what's it like to be the husband of a "Lady Who Means Business" - she would be Terry, and I would be Dr. John.
Terry has this million dollar property she just sold, and the inspections are scheduled for Friday.  No big deal, I think.  As I'm on my way home, and have three phone counseling appointments to attend to this evening, my cell phone rings.
"Hi Honey," … (20 comments)

What do you do when your link to the world crashes? - 06:23 PM
I have been struggling with a communications provider that is large enough to say they care but demonstrates with actions that those words are very hollow in deed.
The installation was botched from the begining with numbers being mixed up wrong services attached to the wrong lines....and on and on.  I did the service department routine, lip service but no results.  A couple of hours of wasted time on the phone and it just didn't get better.  One tech told me to print new cards, less frustration than trying to get the lines right.  Caller ID on the wrong line, private number on … (12 comments)

The Fed Lowers Rates 50 Basis Points-& Its Affect on the Las Vegas High Rise Market - 10:02 PM

The panic that the Federal Reserve showed today regarding the meltdown of the derivative markets was evident as they dramatically lowered rates again after they lowered rates last week by an unprecedented 75 basis points.  Helicopter Ben Bernanke is at it again.  He is disregarding inflation with current monetary growth of over 15% per annum, throwing additional money at a credit crunch crisis that needs time, at least several years, in our opinion, to play itself out and heal itself correctly.  The Fed is placating Wall Street where both the Federal Reserve and Wall Street are co-conspirators of the mess we find ourselves in today.  No … (3 comments)
