When You Love What You Do It's Not Work....Follow Your Passion! - 12:01 PM
It is really funny because I lucked into real estate but it is my passion!
While trying to support my kids as a single Mom I was working 5 different jobs to make ends meet. I was selling corey coffe, selling make-up, being a hostest in a restaurant, modeling and doing commercials. While modeling I was hired to be the welcoming hostess in a new apartment development called Parkmore Apartments.
While I was there the developer Redman Development asked me if I wanted to be the assistant manager. Wow was I excited...not only did I get a full time job but … (31 comments)

We Decided Not To Participate In The National Recession! - 07:28 PM
ECONOMIC OUTLOOK - 27th  Annual Edition 2009-2010 published by LSU, Department of Economics, authored by Loren C. Sctt, James A. Richardson, & M Dek Terrell, is "hot off the press".  This outlook provides statistics and data to support the conclusion that our local eocnomy is thriving. Here are some tidbits from this report.  "Baton Rouge:  Construction + Good Diversity = Solid GrowthIt states that "the Baton Rouge MSA has the largest concentration of chemical industry in Louisiana.  Because the petrochemical industry is very capital-intensive, when it expands, so does the industrial construction".  Other major factors are the location of the State Capitol, … (1 comments)

My No Show Buyers - 10:38 AM
Ugh.  I am so tired of getting dressed and going to the office on the weekend, spending an hour preparing for an appointment just to have my expected customer a "no show".   What's so complicated about picking up the phone and saying, "I can't make it today, " "Could we reschedule," "I've decided not to move so our appointment is no longer needed," or "My car broke down and I have no money so let's not meet."
I mean come on people.  It's a common courtesy.  I take time and spend money on materials to prepare for each individual appointment.  Every … (1 comments)

Interest Rates Help Spur More Sales - 10:55 AM
Interest rates are great! My business partner (and Mother), Linda Fredericks went on the local news to let people know about the great rates. Really the video says it all, but first, let me remind you of my previous post where I talk about the interest rates to be had. Next, let me just say that Baton Rouge is such a great place to live. The local economy is strong and more jobs are coming in to town. You can read about the job stats on Linda's recent post. Now, check out the video below!

Salvation Army Columbus - 07:53 AM
I rang a bell at a Salvation Army kettle in Worthington on Thursday.  The kettle at the Worthington Kroger is sponsored by Worthington Industries.
Thanks to Linda Tacosik in the Worthington Real Living HER office for organizing, scheduling and reminding us.  We worked a one hour slot, two of us ringing bells, dueling bells.  My bell kept falling out of my mittened hand.
You can text in a donation to the Salvation Army in Columbus to 90999.  Text the word -  Kettle.  I did.  It texted me  back to confirm the $5 donation.  My phone company put the donation on my … (2 comments)

My car is talking to me....every time I crank the engine.  It's getting Really aggravating.  But, the other day it was embarrasing.
I have clients here and we head out of the office to good look at homes they have selected to view.  Every time we get back into the car, I start the engine....and there on the dashboard is a message.....then another message.....then another message.
EVERY TIME I START THE CAR !!!

One of my clients (sitting in the back seat) could see the dashboard.....

My December Landscape Colors - 07:00 PM
Here in North Central Florida, we do have a seasonal landscape.  I live in Gainesville, FL and that's about 2 hours north of Orlando.  Yes, we have plenty of "evergreens", but we do have so many seasonal trees and shrubs that love to show off this time of year.
It's cold tonight, and a fire is going in my living room fireplace.  The December feeling is here.  We've had a few frosts and freezes, so the grass is all dormant and brown.  I won't have to cut the grass for a few months, but I will just mow over all the … (4 comments)

Visit www.tackylighttour.com! - 05:28 AM
My favorite song this season, set to lights!
We have a great tour in my neighborhood, but so far I haven't seen anything QUITE like this...Post your amazing links and tours here so we can honor this love of lights and electricity bills. Seriously, does someone have to work this up, or is there software one can buy to make this happen? Wow.
And...would this be a good way to market a listing????

When I have the answers, I'll provide the solution. - 03:32 PM
... or I will bid you fair warning.  That's what the post title of this post should of read like.
I've made a conscious decision (as opposed to the unconscious ones) to apply anything I write on AR to business at hand.  This has less to do with what I write and more to do with the lifestyle I desire.  I will write for fun somewhere else, probably on a notebook from a pen in my hand.  And here is why...

Elk Grove IL Buyers - Great Step for peace of mind - Lyn Sims (847)230-7324 - Elk Grove Village IL Buyers Agent - 12:13 PM
WHAT IS A HOME WARRANTY AND HOW DOES IT WORK?
WHAT WILL IT DO FOR ME AS A BUYER?
A home warranty can give a purchaser peace of mind.  If anything catastrophic happens in the house, you are only financially liable for the deductible.  So if the furnace goes out one evening and you just can't get it going (as long as it is maintained and not abused) you would call the warranty company and they would send out a technician to fix/repair/replace the furnace depending on the problem.  So yes, if the furnace did indeed blow up (heat exchanger) you … (4 comments)

LOVETTSVILLE HOMES FOR SALE - BUILDER OUT OF BUSINESS - FANTASTIC OPPORTUNITY FOR HOME BUYER - 06:57 AM
BUILDER OUT OF BUSINESS MEANS OPPORTUNITY TIME FOR BUYERS SEEKING VALUE IN A BUYERS' MARKET.
THE REAL ESTATE MARKET HAS BEEN CONTRACTING FOR ABOUT 3 YEARS.   In that time, some home buinders have not survived.  In Loudoun County, VA, one builder to go under left 4 homes in inventory to be sold by a Trustee.  The home below is completed and offers a luxury home at less than market price.

FOR EXPERT HELP WITH HOME MORTGAGES, IT PAYS TO "ASK THE LENDER". - 08:10 AM
FOR REAL ESTATE INFORMATION, ASK A REAL ESTATE AGENT OR BROKER.
FOR MORTGAGE LOAN INFORMATION, WE ASK LOAN OFFICERS.
Answering questions about mortgage loans is best done by loan officers, the experts.
We answer questions about real estate in my market area, Maryland and Northern Virginia.   That's our business as a real estate broker.

FORECLOSURES IN LOUDOUN COUNTY - THEY NEED SOME WORK, BUT, WOW! WANT A BARGAIN - 04:26 PM
FOR AN AGENT THAT USUALLY SHOWS AND SELLS NEW HOMES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, SHOWING FORECLOSURES IS AN ADVENTURE.  What surprised my buyers was the value represented in the foreclosure listing.  Similar square feet, lot size, location, amenities.  $200,000 difference in list price.
I met with a new buyer couple today and we toured homes in Lovettsville and Round Hill, Virginia.  The homes are very similar in size and floor plan.  The difference is primarily condition.  House #1 has no kitchen appliances.
COMPARE THE TWO PROPERTIES.  THE FIRST IS A FORECLOSURE, THE SECOND IS NOT.
HOUSE #1. $439,900

Payoff for Sacramento First Time Home Buyer - 08:44 AM
This smile is contagious! Now, is that the smile of a happy new homeowner or what?
Yes, this lovely lady just bought a bank owned REO home for sale in Sacramento.
The day finally arrived when this Sacramento First Time Home Buyer received the keys to her new home.
This is the best part of Real Estate. It's the reason why most Realtors are in the business. The thrill of seeing someone who has taken the time and effort to prepare in the home buying process finally reach the end which is really the beginning of all the memories yet to come.
Be sure … (1 comments)
