WHERE TO SPEND YOUR ADVERTISING DOLLARS? How do we advertise our services? As stated in Chapter 2, "The last thing real estate agents and brokers need to hear in a recession, when every dollar is important, is "just give it a try". Advertising dollars should be invested, not gambled." 
I recently attended a trade show where the two most popular questions at the Zillow booth were 1) Where do you get your data and 2) How accurate are your Zestimates?
I may sound like a broken record, but families giving up their pets due to home loss is increasing at ALARMING numbers. I can only imagine the strain of having to move your family and find a pet friendly rental. As a "mother" of Three dogs (Yorkie, Doberman and Lab) and One Cat..trust me I KNOW!

So our company made a very very very good announcement this week that I was all too eager to share with my clients and would-be clients. Our company announced we will now offer property management services.
You know it's funny how we can find these quick life-lessons, business lessons, whatever, all around us. Today was no exception for me.
This is an interesting little story that tells the power of what motivates us. As you can see I have been an member of active rain since 2006. I have told many people how interesting, educational, and powerful it is. Yet, I have never blogged. I think part of the reason is how smart everyone else seems. I will sit for hours and read everyone else's blog and think "Wow, that was really smart why didn't I think of that?" Hence, I have never plucked up the courage to post.

With the hours dwindling until we open our gifts I thought I would share some "green" ideas about disposing of your old electronics. We all know that there is the right way and the wrong way to "trash" your computers, monitors, printers, and other electronic equipment. The wrong way is to toss it in a trash can! 
This is the season that makes me remember how grateful I am for container gardening. Fresh herbs and salads can be a real splurge at this time of the year but if you have a sunny spot and a few pots or other containers it is a simple and gratifying task to grow your own. Nothing is fresher or tastes better.
Helen, Ga and surrounding areas are seasonable cold today, but for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day? Unseasonably warm. Now if there is ever a time every one in Northeast Georgia and the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains want snow it is now, the Season! Yes White Christmases are to be desired everywhere. We tend to think of Christmas and Christmas Eve as THE Season. Really the season is in the heart. In your heart as in mine you can always have a White Christmas. I love this! ARMLS, Arizona Multiple Listing Service, is always coming up with new ideas. The latest is a way to work with the banks and short sales by having an approval process entitled: "Fannie Mae Pre-Approved" Short Sale. Hopefully this will eliminate or at least modify some of the ridiculous hoops and mazes we, as a Realtor, are faced with when we either choose to represent the Seller, or to help a Buyer purchase a Short Sale. This is a tough time for Sellers who are faced with a Short Sale, and the less stress for them, the better.
