Lately, I've had to buy several items that have required assembling, requiring a degree in engineering. The items were mass produced Overseas, and were in sealed unopened boxes. Needless to say, there were pieces missing, not only screws, washers, and nuts and bolts, but legs, and parts to the actual pieces. This has happened more than once from the same store. It can be a nightmare, especially when you assemble on sight (a home) and if the store is closed, your out of luck, These aren't pieces you can run to the 24 hour super center and find. Earlier this week as I drove home in the middle of the afternoon I could hear the sounds of fire engines, of ambulances, of police cars....I could see smoke rising in the sky and I wondered where it came from and said a little prayer for those involved. As I turned onto our street I could see those fire engines and other vehicles with flashing lights and they looked to be right in front of my house! My clients read and watch the real estate news closely, but they don't always correctly understand what it means to them. I try to explain what I hear and read regularly in my blog so that it makes sense in the context of the Flagstaff home market. Listening to the national real estate news is a great way to get blogging ideas. I think you need to take the next step and make that national news relevant at the local level.
