Now That's what I call Balance - 01:14 PM
I thought I would make fun of myself today.
There have been many many posts that have been written about Activerain and the balance it should have.
Some people like to post about Real Estate. Some people like to post about their life. Some people like to post jokes and some people like to post recipes. I'm not sure if I was the first one to come up with the idea but I can tell you it is my content. Maybe I just altered it a bit. So I thought it would be nice to add balance on Activerain.
I thought it would be interesting … (64 comments)

Google -- Customising your home page - 08:59 AM

As many of you know, I follow Google from time to time. They are so innovative. They change their logos for specific holidays and when you click on that particular logo for that holiday, it gives you a short history lesson. Example :

The Power of Your Score - 11:45 AM
Yesterday was a great day for me.  I was able to buy the wife a new car.  She is the exact opposite of me.  I like a new car every couple of years and she drove her Explorer for 8 years.  I hate to lease and no one has ever been able to explain the benefits of a lease to me when I drive 25k+/- miles a year.
I am going to gloat here a little, I am self-employed.  So, I am stated income kind of guy.  My middle score was low it was 745.  I know that is high to … (5 comments)

Just Staged & On Market! The Towers: 88 King Street, San Francisco - 09:27 PM
Just Staged! #1106, 88 King Street, San Francisco. Click here for Virtual Tour.

This is a very interesting and challenging property to stage. The sellers already had very nice stuff, I added artwork, accessories, some small pieces of furniture to bring more style and stage the home. The most challenging part was dealing with the AT&T ball park traffic, looking for parking every 2 hours and mainly unloading and loading. Me and my assistant (Read more …)

Station Casinos Banking On Biggest Being Best - 10:05 AM

Plan for huge complex in play despite economy
  Viva
Station Casinos owners Lorenzo & Frank Fertitta, explain their vision Tuesday for Viva, which, at $10 billion, would become the most expensive casino complex ever built. The brothers envision a complex with three casinos, at least three hotels and as many as 10,000 rooms on 110 acres at Tropicana Avenue and Interstate 15.
That's right folks $10,000,000,000 with a capital "B."
Located near the Panorama high rise condos, I am excited to see what will happen to Panorama resale units as with the price of oil going up, what will be the true value of any high rise … (5 comments)

April wildflower contest, Texas Passion Flower - 09:14 AM
One of my all time favorite flowers is the Passion Flower. I first saw it on a magazine cover when I was in the 4th grade. I believe that magazine was Texas Highways. I am lucky enough to have it now growing around my property and my neighbors' properties.
There are many uses for this beautiful flowering vine. You can make medicinal teas from the leaves, flower and root that are used to treat everything from insomnia to epilepsy (however, please consult a professional before trying to self medicate). The passion fruit grows on this vine but there were none on it as … (13 comments)

ARE YOU LOCKING YOURSELF OUT OF BUSINESS? - 11:09 AM
Electronic Lock Boxes.  You either love them or hate them.  In good times they are plentiful-mainly due to the cost of acquiring them at nearly $100 per unit.  SUPRA® keys are a tool not a luxury.
Yet, the vast numbers of "REALTORS"® these days ever increasingly fail to realize they are without an essential tool of their trade.
Are YOU LOCKING YOURSELF OUT OF BUSINESS?
A Carpenter without a hammer is unemployable. Same for a Plumber without a wrench.
ARE YOU KEYLESS AND CLUELESS?
If business is down- now is not the time to cut your "expenses" by failing to renew your electronic lock box.

2%...What? - 10:42 PM
I recently cruised thru my local MLS and low and behold I found Realtors advertising 2.5% and 2% commissions for cooperating agents on short sales. Now, I have seen it all! Why would anyone even consider doing that? … (0 comments)

Do You Have a Power Hour in Your Day? - 02:42 PM
Here is how it works, you'll need to decide what time of day works best for you.  Morning, afternoon or evening.  We all operate on different clocks in this profession.  Once you have chosen the time, have water to drink, have blank notes on hand, your database list with phone numbers, and a sign.  The sign shall read, Do Not Disturb! Power Hour in Progress.  You place the sign on your door, or on the wall of your cubicle.  This will let people in your office know that they cannot speak with you or tap on your shoulder about anything for … (10 comments)

Last weeks blog postings - - 11:32 AM
While I try to get a fresh piece of content here every now and then, I also post 3-5 items on my main company blog almost every week. Here is a recap of the last week on my other blog:

123 Guide to Google Gadgets
A lot of people think they have to create new information for social media. While original content is good, it isn’t always necessary - in fact most popular sites barely have a drop of fresh content on them. There are dozens of different sites that provide functional, useful (and fun) gadgets, ranging from Widgetbox to…

There's No Feng Shui in The Hamptons? Can't be.....by Feng Shui LI New York - 11:09 PM
There's NO Feng Shui in The Hamptons?
I was thrilled to hear the Hamptons Home and Garden Show on Long Island, New York is coming up and went to check the details of the show.  If you've never been out to The Hamptons, it's a very special place in New York.  While I'm not there as often as I am in the City (in the summer be prepared for major traffic jams), the Spring is the perfect time to go and every year a huge event is held there.
It covers the entire weekend and vendors from all over come to show … (12 comments)

Windermere Florida Real Estate - First Time Buyers' Dos And Don'ts - 08:17 AM
If you are a first time home buyer, you have a lot to learn.
Working from a blank slate you must build an understanding of the housing market, determine what you can afford, land a loan and hone in on a home that's a good fit for your lifestyle.
The transaction will likely become your largest asset ever so there's little room for error.
It is a daunting task, but you can ease your concerns if you take the process step-by-step, watching your footing as you move along the path toward the American Dream.
To that end, Keller Williams recently released … (0 comments)

It's here...now...what does it mean! - 02:01 PM
I love to read blogs. It has become a hobby, I guess you could say. There were several (and I mean ALOT) posts about "soft market" policies that lenders were using and what that means. So, here are a few useful blogs about what a "soft market policy" is and what it means for you.
Important Soft Market Policy Update by John J Moriarty
Soft Market Policies by Dustin R. Burke
