Starting April 29, 2008 an estimated 130 million U.S. families and individuals will be getting tax rebate checks from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). 
For new agents who are just beginning their careers in Real Estate, it can be very challenging and scary in a market like the present. With all the training, forms, and guidelines to adhere to, without direct guidance from a mentor or manager the road can be very rocky. For all you veterans out there in the real estate industry, please give some feedback on tips that have made you the successful person that you are today.

Our area Realtors get together every week to tour new listings and every so often on that 5th Wednesday that comes around, we have guest speakers or some type of program. Yesterday we met with area loan officers, appraisers, inspectors, title work companies and a representative from the city to discuss changes in the city codes, loan programs and appraisal issues so that we could better serve the Searcy community. In this extreme market it is vital to put our best foot forward. We all know the saying that "you never get a second chance to make a first impression". I know money is tight and sometimes the look of our model home interior may not seem to be top priority, but my experience says otherwise. It is important for a prospective buyer to know that your construction is of high quality and up to date. The real investors are coming back to L.A.
Most renters don't stop to think just how much they are losing by not turning their rent dollars into a mortgage payment. They believe that, because in many cases their utilities are included in their rent payment, that they are further ahead than a home owner who must pay these as well as property taxes and home maintenance costs. So let's do some quick calculations and take for example a monthly rent payment of $800. After 10 years you will have paid $96,000 with no return on your money. Unfortuantely we will all have closing that do not reflect the service we wish to give all of our clients. However, it has been my experience if we stay as positive as possible with our clients we will change their mindset, and then they will think the service was amazing. As an industry our reputation is not the best; however, I challenge all of you when dealing with your transactions/ life issues to smile (on the phone, in person, etc.). My life is full of many blessings; family, our friends, my wonderful 10 year old son and my loving husband of 19 years. We have a new member of our family (our kitten) she is 10 weeks old.
