Good Afternoon,
Georgia's Lake & Golf Country is once again beginning to shift into full swing with summer vacations beginning and Memorial Day approaching. The Lake's (Oconee & Sinclair) themselves are beginning to warm up with temperatures in the low to mid 70's. The golf courses are in great condition. Most greens have healed from being punched (except The Oconee course) and are rolling smoothly.
The past few months I have seen a lot of internet traffic for the Lake areas. This month the internet traffic is beginning to level off and many of my inquiries are coming from local publications … (0 comments)

Lew Sichelman is one of my favorite real estate writers. It helps that he sometimes quotes me in his articles. His latest article pertains to Open Houses - Door is Closing on Open Houses.
Do open houses work? Are they worth it? The article presents both viewpoints. It also created some talk in my office today.

Filming of "Marley and Me" brings West Chester Borough Traffic Closures (oh...and Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson, too!) - 06:57 PM
West Chester will be home to a film crew for the next few days, and lucky residents may catch a glimpse of Jennifer Aniston or Owen Wilson as they film scenes for the upcoming release of "Marley and Me."
(They were actually shooting winter scenes, using faux snow -- what I will coin as "snaux" -- a far cry from the previous shooting in Miami, FL!)

The Voice of San Diego Real Estate, A New 2nd Domain and Title Tag - 10:57 PM
A special Thanks to Lenn Harley for suggesting that I re-title my personal blog site to better reflect my geographic location. She noticed that the TheRealEstateTextBook.com title tag did reflect my geographic location and was making my site more difficult to be recognised by the search engines for San Diego Real Estate. I purchased the new domain, The Voice of San Diego Real Estate and it is now included in the title tag for the Text Book site.

Creek Meadows New Subdivision in College Station, Texas Bans Sex Offenders - 03:53 PM
Creek Meadows subdivision should be opening in June. This family family community has put in the deed restrictions that sex offenders shall be banned from residing in Creek Meadows. Families can feel safe and secure that a sex offender will most likely not living in this masterplanned community. The neighborhood association will be cross referencing addresses and if a person is found to be a sex offender the association will most likely decline them from moving in the subdivision.

I was reading Yahoo News this evening and came across this article.

The good news is that Houston was not on the list. The bad news is that according to the article the 5 cities with the biggest decline in home values are:
Las Vegas
Miami
Phoenix
Los Angeles
San Diego
Personally I believe that was because the houses were overvalued, overpriced to begin with and it was only a matter of time before the bubble burst.
Regardless, I am happy to see that in that article they included the top 10 seller's markets and they were:

Foreclosure is the means that a bank has a legal right to take possession of a property if the mortgagor (owner) has failed to live up to the commitments as outlined in the mortgage agreement. Usually a missed payment will trigger this process.
