Continuing Education Legislation Introduced - 10:40 PM
NJAR®, working with Senate Majority Leader Steven Sweeney (D3) and Assembly Majority Leader Bonnie Watson Coleman (D15), introduced bare bones legislation this week that would mandate continuing education (CE) for real estate brokers, broker-salespersons and salespersons. A3099 and S2068, which are only meant to be placeholders for more comprehensive legislation, were introduced at NJAR®'s request following the June 10, 2008, NJAR® Board of Directors vote to strongly support state-mandated continuing education for real estate licensees. NJAR® will work over the summer to develop a comprehensive bill, incorporating the NJAR® CE Task Force recommendations, that will replace the current bill language so

This afternoon Tami and I met with the owners of a downtown St Petersburg condo in Bayfront Towers and were talking about internet marketing strategies. They knew what blogging was, in general terms, but didn't understand how that would relate to marketing a property. I was explaining that it's not the same as just saying you have a 3 bedroom condo priced at x, etc - it's about finding points to blog about.

This one goes beyond just referrals. While it's a wonderful thing to have a former client refer somebody to you, it's even better when prospective clients can read or hear experiences from those folks ... and then talk to that person who has already done business with you. Then, they reach out. Then, it's a bit more comfortable to know they know a person who can and will look out for their best interests.
