For the same reasons you're here. To network, share my knowledge (of insurance and marketing) and learn from others. I may not be in real estate, but real estate agents and insurance brokers have a lot in common when it comes to the struggles of acquiring new clients and marketing. We all have the tools and knowledge to help and educate our clients, it's just a matter of getting in front of them and developing a trust.

For purposes of this commentary, agents will refer to individuals who have obtained a license to practice real estate in order to build a real estate business. These agents are business people working from a business plan, holding themselves accountable to their goals. They keep track of their investment in their business, and the return on that investment. They question every expense that does not directly create revenue opportunities. They are entrepreneurs in the truest sense. They work from home offices, pay for their own branded websites, marketing and advertising. As they prosper, they hire staff and pay salaries.

In my 3 years of owning my business as a Virtual Assistant, I have only worked with local real estate agents. These are agents who NEED to meet me, see me once in awhile, etc. While a VA is, in many cases, the most cost effective solution for real estate agents, the concept of not having someone at their side is a bit scary. I'm working on researching this misconception, so that I am able to best educate real estate agents on this creative, yet extremely business smart solution/alternative to a full-time assistant!
