The Nature of Payson... - 12:21 PM
This picture looks over of the town of Payson.  The sun is shining, you can almost hear the birds singing. You know that there are squirrels dashing across tree tops and somewhere there are herds of elk grazing just out of view (or in plain view depending on where your located) Just a reminder as to why we enjoy such a beautiful little town.

Autumn is Here --> Winter is around the corner. - 05:01 PM
Those of us who reside or visit the Rim Country you've probably noticed that we are now awaking to crisp mornings and wilted gardens that flourished all through the summer.  The air has the odor of smoke from recently lit wood-burning stoves.  Life in the Rim Country cannot be any better! Inside our homes we stay comfy and cozy through the holidays that are approaching all too fast!
Out and about today I am reminded of the homes that are empty and depressed.  They are patiently waiting for new owners to light them up for the holidays, to bake Christmas Cookies, … (0 comments)

Real Estate Joke: Closing Gift - 03:09 PM
October 15, 2009 Here's a clever joke I found on http://realestatejokes.nationalrealtorsdirectory.com/. Enjoy!
A client bought a new home and the broker wanted to send flowers for the occasion. They arrived at the home and the owner read the card; it said "Rest in Peace". The owner was angry and called the florist to complain. After he had told the florist of the obvious mistake and how angry he was, the florist said. "Sir, I'm really sorry for the mistake, but rather than getting angry you should imagine this: somewhere there is a funeral taking place today, and they have flowers with … (2 comments)

Buyers and Sellers will wait only 20 minutes for information! - 03:16 PM
I just read a post on Twitter from JtFaber, he quoted an article by Time Trade Systems that says that most more than 30% of people who will visit a business for service will expect instant attention. My opinion is that the number is higher. Especially in the business of real estate where a lot of our business comes from online views or customers require us to be available at all times instantaneous. As real estate agents it is wonderful to be able to use technology, such as webpages, smart phones, texting and the like to reach out or stay in touch. … (0 comments)

First time buyer tax credits - Good or Bad? Just a discussion question. - 01:52 PM
Whilst everyone jumpson board and many economists say the tax credits need to be extended and Realtors and builders shout it from the rooftops are these credits really good or really bad? Could they be adding or doing the same damage that all the toxic loans have done.
Will Americans only buy when something is on sale or when they have a coupon/tax credit? Can we really expect our economy to recover when there is no confidence, when buyers are still concerned prices will drop further because there is weak unemployment and more foreclosures coming down the road to affect home values.

Easttown Township considers Earned Income Tax. - 02:46 PM
Easttown township is considering a potential earned income tax to balance the budget that has been affected so dramtically by the drop in home sales in the township. Already staff do not work Fridays having been furloughed several months ago to save costs but the dramatic drop in home sales has still left the budget with big holes.
The Borad of Supervisors has announed recently their intention to levy an earned income tax following a public meeting on October 19th at 8 PM at Beaumont Elementary School. Many residents at the October 5th Board of Supervisors meeting voiced their concern that … (0 comments)

I love Polar Bears... - 10:18 AM

Umm. No.  Sorry.  Not this kind…

More like this kind…

And the funny thing is, as much as I love these rolley polley real life cartoon characters, I can’t go see them at the zoo.  Don’t know what it is but the Zoo just creeps me out. (sorry to all the Zoo Keepers)
I have a plan though.  I’m going to go see them (IRL) in real life.  Call it a “bucket list” if you like, but I will someday hop on my bike, and ride to Alaska (no joke).  The trip is almost 8,000 miles there and back.  … (6 comments)

Ontario Real Estate Investment - Where, when and what? - 10:14 AM
Real Estate investment in Ontario or elsewhere requires some basic considerations during the where when and what stages. The interview below with Don Campbell, head of the Real Estate Investment Network considers these factors and their results in our current economic climate. Some of REIN's conclusions bode well for Barrie Ontario.(hear more about this)
Barrie Ontario has many if not all of the resources that will be of highest demand from a City in the forseeable future. There is a formula or template for taking a city with the resources of Barrie from relative obscurity to the forefront econimically. Only a … (1 comments)

Bringing Predators to Justice - 01:14 PM
As we all know by now, the current state of the economy was created by mortgage lenders who were giving out money to people who did not previously qualify.
In the aftermath, many are now taking these banks to court for unfair and predatory practices.  Banks have been going through these lawsuits for years but recently the number has jumped.  Some have already settled out of court for millions of dollars.  Banks like Wells Fargo and Countrywide have been sued by homeowners in an effort to keep their homes.
Some are seeking money for damages because they've already lost their house … (3 comments)
