Great Clients - Wonderful Waterfront Cabin - They go well together. Sold Waterfront Cabin on Lake Raymond Gary Fort Towson, Oklahoma - 08:26 AM
You can tell just by looking at these folks that they were a joy to work with!
When I emailed them and asked them if I could use this photo in my blog, they came back and said it was OK, even with the husband's obvious "cutting up" in the photo.
The Anderson's purchased a waterfront cabin on Lake Raymond Gary.  They are pleased with it and thoroughly enjoying it and of course the sellers are happy because they were ready to sell.
These kinds of deals are win-win situations!

State Fair Of Texas One Of The Best In The Nation - 08:01 PM
Are we allowed to write sequel blogs about our local areas? With our country even through blogging being so interconnected nowadays it seems like the blogger is your local Johnny on the spot reporter for the inside scoop of what is going on in his or her backyard. Last year, about this time in October, I observed after visiting the State Fair of Texas, that you have to put that one definitely on your Bucket List of things to do. The event runs pretty long, this year from September 25th to October 18th. Our opening weekend was a little warm yet … (18 comments)

FUNNEL CAKES MAY BE THE BEST THING AT THIS YEARS WATKINSVILLE FALL FESTIVAL - 02:50 PM

After raining off and on all week, the weather channel predicted "cloudy" for the Watkinsville Fall Festival today.  Well, it started misting around 8:00 a.m. and started raining harder and harder throughout the morning.  Still, a good many people came and brought their children, including babies.  I stood out in the rain for 2 hours directing traffic, but before I did, I had to visit the funnel cake booth.

As the day was cold and wet, funnel cakes may well have been one of the best things going as they are hot and sweet.

Ramsey NJ in summertime - 05:01 PM
As the leaves fall and the weather turns colder, it's nice to think back to the warm summer afternoon when I took these pictures around Ramsey.  These first two are of Veterans Park on Main Street, across from Ramsey High School.

More pictures of Ramsey NJ - 05:17 PM
Where would Ramsey NJ be without our train station?  Actually, we now have two, but the one on Main Street is the one that gave our town its name.

This photo was taken on the day my son was born. We had him at home about 4 hours earlier and he was just listening to my voice. I didn't actually know this picture was taken until later.

Everyone is OK, but my workhorse is gone! - 07:10 PM

Today I lost my favorite car I've ever owned, It has been a work horse since I got it! My 1994 Jeep Cherokee had 217,000 miles on it, been to many homes with many buyers. Been on many road trips, brought home many pets and never gave me an ounce of trouble in those 217,000.

Total repair bills for those years other than oil changes and tire was only $800, this car rocked and I would love its equal. But today, it was all gone in an instant when a older gentleman crossed the center line and left my … (24 comments)

Breakfast at Tiffany's Economic Update - 02:54 PM
Spending money is back in style. According to Bloomberg.com the pent up demand for luxury items increased 29% in the third quarter unleashing a buying spree of high end goods and services.   Is it because of savvy investment strategies or the generous bonus structures for former hedge fund executives?   Did a new book come out called How to spend it, if you don't have it?  Introducing the new tool for today's financial prosperity: home foreclosure.
The Kellogg School of Management reported that when home values dip 10% below the mortgage balances, a growing number of families who can make their payments have … (0 comments)

"Light the Night"- Walk for Leukemia in Raleigh North Carolina - 02:16 PM
I know this is very late, but I've just been asked by a client of mine to join her tonight in this very important cause.
We will be walking 2 miles (it's pretty cold out today for Raleigh) and are supposed to ask for sponsors to help raise funds to fight leukemia.
My client's 20 year old daughter has a best friend who has this terrible disease so of course anything we can do to help her is appreciated. Even if you don't want to donate, your thougths and prayers for Anna will be appreciated.

LOAN MODIFICATION, AN EXPRESS-ROUTE TO FORECLOSURE - 04:48 PM
This is a situation that is unfolding at the present time.  I am passing it on so that others do not fall prey to the stupidity.
I listed a home as a short sale after the lien holder had recorded the Notice of Default and Notice of Trustee Sale.  The seller had already made an unsuccessful attempted to obtain a loan modification with Wells Fargo. Time was short, so I priced the home aggressively at $ 340,000.
There was a flurry of activity and we had six offers in the first week, including offers over $ 400,000.  I submitted the … (2 comments)

Maine Towns Around Houlton ME Include Hodgdon, Linneus, Littleton, Ludlow In Southern Aroostook County. - 07:00 AM
Northern Maine is relatively young. In the case of Houlton Maine, Joseph Houlton cruised in just after the turn of the century in the early 1800's. The towns around Houlton are all pretty much square..6 miles by 6 miles with a exception of New Limerick, Ludlow and Cary Plantation which are 3 miles by 6 miles. Unlike southern Maine which is much older and different shaped as the large tracts became smaller out parcels as folks developed the area, northern Maine is square, very logical and straight forward in the layout of the local real estate. Houlton Maine to the … (3 comments)

Your Job, Do You Go Thru The Motions..Same Old Same Old Or Do You Have Fun, Re-Invent? - 12:13 PM
You've met folks at a company or business who are in another solar system..talking but not connecting. But once in a while you find a person who goes above and beyond. Not always in service but with their approach, their sense of humor. Their "let's make the most of the situation" shines thru.  Had a problem uploading the extra 17 real estate images to our enhanced realtor.com site this week. The Alycia I talked to was not fun, or helpful. She did want to talk about other products we could buy when all I really wanted, needed was to get the enhancement I … (2 comments)

Bear Creek Garden in Colorado Springs - 05:11 PM

Many residents of Colorado Springs have their own garden; the interest in vegetable gardens in particular, has increased. You may choose to start a garden if want to save some money
on groceries, grow your own organic food, or pick up a new hobby. If you do not own a home in Colorado Springs but would still like to have your own garden, renting your very own plot from the Bear Creek Garden Association may be a good idea.
The garden is located on the west side of town near 21st and Rio Grande in Bear Creek Regional … (12 comments)
